Visited the Louis Vuitton store at 737 5th Avenue in New York City, it is near Trump Tower, and it was a truly exceptional retail experience. From the moment I entered, the atmosphere felt luxurious yet welcoming. The store is beautifully designed, with elegant visual merchandising that highlights both classic and contemporary collections. The layout is spacious and allows you to browse comfortably without feeling rushed or crowded — even during busy hours. What stood out most was the level of customer service. The staff was extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the products. I was assisted by an associate who took time to understand what I was looking for and explained the details of several items, including their craftsmanship, materials, and care instructions. There was no pressure to buy, which made the experience feel much more enjoyable and personal. The store carries a wide selection of luxury handbags, travel trunks, shoes, accessories, and ready-to-wear fashion, including some exclusive pieces not easily found online or in smaller LV locations. It was a delight to see the iconic trunks and newer seasonal designs up close. I also appreciated the store’s attention to detail, from packaging to presentation, and even how they handle checkouts — discreet, organized, and with a touch of elegance. If you’re a Louis Vuitton fan or simply enjoy high-end fashion retail, this flagship store is a must-visit. Whether you’re shopping or browsing, it offers a true taste of LV's...

Louis Vuitton transformed its Midtown Manhattan flagship storefront into a jaw-dropping landmark by wrapping the façade in a towering installation of stacked trunks. This 230-foot-high sculpture, crafted during renovations, mimics six iconic trunks wrapped in Trianon Grey canvas, honoring the brand’s heritage as a master of travel luggage .

Designed by architect Shohei Shigematsu (OMA), the trunks form four sculptural towers that twist, zigzag, and stagger—creating a visual puzzle that feels both weighty and light. It’s a tribute to craftsmanship and brand DNA that transforms a construction obstruction into a landmark .

Temporary But Bold

This façade isn’t meant to last permanently—it cleverly disguises scaffolding during a multi-year renovation. As a temporary installation, it succeeds brilliantly, turning what would otherwise be an eyesore into a spectacular urban media moment . It reinforces the “Art of Travel” legacy that fueled Louis Vuitton’s origin while showcasing how architecture and marketing can merge to create immersive experiences.

If it became permanent, reactions would be mixed. Some might see it as bold and visionary; others may view it as kitschy or out of place amid classic surroundings . But its temporary nature gives it that ephemeral power—making it a landmark worth seeing, studying, and...

I saw it only from outside. I was really captivated by the creativity of this building. It is shaped like a giant Louis Vuitton trunk, and it immediately catches your attention as you walk by. The detail in the design is incredible—everything from the handles to the classic LV pattern makes it look like a real oversized piece of luxury luggage placed right in the middle of the city.

Even though I didn’t go inside, just standing there and looking at it felt like an experience on its own. It’s a perfect example of how architecture and branding can come together to create something that is both playful and iconic. Many people were stopping to take pictures, and it really stands out compared to the more traditional buildings around it.

If you are into fashion, design, or simply love seeing creative architecture, this is definitely worth a stop. It’s a reminder that New York always has surprises waiting for you at every corner. Next time, I’d like to go inside to see how the interior matches the impressive exterior, but even from the outside, it’s already a...
