One of my girlfriends tried this nail bar for the first time, she was raving about it! Posting them on instagram and all! I saw her posts and asked her about it! She loved her experience, she went on to say how they did an amazing job, they even offered her a complimentary drink! And gave her extra gems for her nails! That sounds amazing!!! So of course I said let me try them out, I went a few days after, I needed a fill in and a slight cut down. The nail tech at the 1st desk took me and immediately she asked me who did my nails prior? she suggested that I need a new set (I knew I didn’t bc I just got a new set from my own salon I go to) I feel as though they say that just to get you to pay for extra services. I refused it. And maybe it’s me, but since I declined that, my experience was not anywhere near what my girl experienced.. the nail tech passed me on to Adam to finish. Which I always hate when that happens. My acrylic was bumpy, I asked for a few nails to be shaved down a bit more- he did it pleasantly. However, I was disappointed that I looked up to see my nails were cut very short after I told them just a little bit, the shape was is not the almond shape I came in with. And I was never offered a complimentary drink. Later that night I was having a terrible itching /reaction under my nails I had to soak my fingers in alcohol for relief. I did notice that after I washed my hands Adam filed my nails underneath- that was strange to me. My cuticles looked horrible- when I showed my girl my nails she agreed and was terribly sorry that I didn’t receive the same experience.. I paid $58.00 and tipped! Just for an underrated experience. And the workers there are not friendly, not one smile, just not a warm experience! And I told her it was my first time! I looked at my receipt days laters to then learn what I paid for was itemized, I was charged for “special shape” my nails were already in the sharp almond shape when I got there! If anything they ruined that shape! It’s a weird oval now. Why should I be charged for the shape I already walked in with? I didn’t ask for a new shape. And they all were not the same size. Safe to say I will not be returning.. it’s true when they say all that glitters is not gold! I’ll stick to my little shop that knows me, treats me better and actually knows how to do my nails. Thank you but no thank you!

I’m going to have to try this place again for a redo. I want to like it so bad. It’s a beautiful establishment but was a bit frustrated getting my toes done. I hate being this person because I feel all languages are beautiful and people should be free to love and appreciate their native language but it’s hard going into an establishment like a nail salon that majority of customers don’t usually speak the same language as the nail techs and the nail techs don’t speak basic English. When I arrived I asked if I could pay at the start of my service (I canceled my bank card and they’re sending me a new one and updated my Apple Pay) so I wanted to make sure their were no issues and that my Apple Pay would work fine before receiving the service. It took 4 of them to figure out what I was saying. Then I’m getting my toes done and I’m asking her to make the line a little thicker, she didn’t understand at all. So I googled a basic French tip picture for her to understand and the told me “your nails are too little” (I’m going to post a picture of my nails, they’re not super long but definitely not super short either). Before I even left, I had to scrape off excess polish that was left on my feet and then the lady tried to help but at that point you’ve been looking at my feet this whole time and just left it so why do it now that you see me doing it?!? I left, not very happy but what’s the point in complaining when NOBODY can understand me??!? I get to my car and theirs still a bunch of dead skin around my toes on one of my feet. One foot is more rushed than the other. One foot looks great with the shape and polish, the other she couldn’t even make sure she squared it to match the other foot. She just told me “your toes are different” which is crazy because no other shop has ever had an issue squaring my big toe?? I asked her not to cut my toenails, so she made sure she went ham and files one of my toenails all the way down when I like them to be longer. Probably why she felt my nails were “too little” 3 stars because I definitely enjoyed the drink and like I said it’s beautiful inside.

I don’t normally write reviews for certain places but this was too unacceptable not to. I get my nails done all the time and had a round of different experiences, but this needed to be said. First as i walked in with my father we greeted them and said good morning, the people at the front desk didn’t reply and we had to say it again just for them to give us an attitude, after correcting them they acknowledge our greeting and finally greeted us back, no apology for it by the way. We didn’t think much of it as they seemed they understood. As i was called up, my nail tech was named Ken. He clearly already had an attitude right when i sat down but i also didn’t think much of this because its early in the morning, still i shouldn’t have had to deal with his attitude. As i was getting my nails done he told me to put my hands in the uv light, but as he took one out he would get upset with me not taking the other. For example he kept saying “come on” and mind you i was counting the seconds on the uv and my hand was there for at least 4 to 6 seconds so automatically i wasn’t thinking when to take my hand out, he just kept telling me too when he pleased. At some point he yanked my hand after i took it out of the light. I was fed up and replied “I understand you want my hand out but you don’t have to yank it like that. My hand is out it’s rude” then he replied “okay but your hand needs to be out now”. I could care less when my hand could be taken out, my hand being yanked is just completely unacceptable. i will not be coming again and i did not leave a tip, the experience wasn’t deserving of one. Left very upset. Should’ve read the reviews before. I can admit i bite my nails but my nails have never looked like this with acrylic tips. I asked for an almond shape and got left with whatever this was. Horrible and extremely rushed experience, NEVER again. Worst place in georgetown to go to.

Mortified & embarrassed! Today 10/29/24, I got a gel manicure & pedicure. At first, I was so excited because I thought I found my go-to spot, I was about to recommend all of my family and friends until I was treated badly by the lady at the front, maybe the manager (she wore an orange, long sleve shirt under the blue uniform top). I presume she wanted to close out all the open checks so that she can leave - no problem, I understand, I have been asked to close out early before. She took my card and came back to ask me for my PIN number, I hesitated because that is private. I asked her to just select credit if she can. She then insisted for me to verbalize my PIN number and claim " don't worry, I will not remember it", I would have walked over but of course I was in the middle of my pedicure. I am non confrontational and don't like make a scene (especially being a woman of color - as this is what most people expect of us - to start yelling & going off) so I gave her the PIN #. She came back with the receipt and asked if I wanted to leave a tip (of course I did, Martin was great) I told her $15, she left again then comes back with a different tone and says "there is no more money on your card, leave the tip in cash" I told her I did not have cash and to please try again. She said loud enough for people to hear "you have no more money on your card" of course that is impossible because I know how much I have. She asked me to prove I had money so I opened my bank account to show her, she still didn't believe me and TOOK MY PHONE with her to the front, so she has my card, my bank app open & PIN number. Then of course she comes back "it went through now" and left me with NO explanation. I don't think anything malice was done with my account. It was just the way she made me feel. Meanwhile, the wrong PIN had been inputed a few times so maybe there was a system block or error. Either way, I received no apology or no explanation. I came to happily spend my money, my card just went through for over $100 and she comes back to rudely tell me "you have no more money on your card"! MORTIFIED & EMBARRASSED. The salon was full and I was pretty much in shock. I have never been treated in such a manner - disgusting behavior. Thanks to Martin who was clearly trying to ask her to calm down but she put her foot down and made him be quiet. Sadly, I will never return... even though the...
