Mannan Supermarket — Attraction in New York

I’m giving two stars because of poor customer service.Mannan is a popular and well known super Market in USA .Everybody loves to do grocery shopping there.But my wife had a bad experience today at the store in hillside Manhan.we have wic program for our kids.One is 7 months and the other is 2 years old. My wife picked and took a wic approved cereal from the shelve to the register.One of the registers her name is zannat ,scanned the cereal twice .It didn’t go through…My wife asked her and showed her the proof that it’s a wic approved item.She (the cashier)started misbehaving her.She told my wife that you understand Too much.You don’t listen to me.And she even asked her why she is taking cereal .She should take the corn flakes.She also asked our babies age.And told my wife to take these and that.She told my wife to not take the cereal.Which is already wic approved.Then ,she rudely told my wife to go back to wic or the doctor who approved the wic.Then,my wife went to the manager.He took her to another register where the wic item got approved or went through. Before,the manager went to the same cashier asked her 2 times to scan the product.She didn’t do it and denied to take care of her.She even said to the manager on his face that don’t bring that problem here!! My question,is what kind of a customer service is that!! What type Of a person do you keep in your company?Who she is to tell my wife what to take or not?Who is she to order my wife to go back to the doctor?Why do you keep a person like zannat who doesn’t even listen to her manager’s request? She shouldn’t order her customers what to do or what not to do!She shouldn’t have asked my wife about our kids age!! If it was an American company,she would have got fired right away for such behavior.She is carrying Bangladeshi mentality. I demand action and investigation.I’ll also call 311 about such behavior.Sorry...

Fruits and veggies are always C grade here with the price of A+ grades on other stores, you are really lucky if you find an A grade quality fruits or veggies, mainly they bring the lowest quality they can get in wholesale market to multiply their profit sometimes they even bring throw away quality nicely stacked up and running

Have thrown away mangoes out of the bag bought with high prices, inside was rotten due to long term preservation with chemicals i guess outside was nice and healthy, brought the same mango box again to check the whole lot, yes, that was intentional business taking people money with giving them nothing with bonus of wasting time and effort

most of the cashiers are mannerless including the night shift manager and security guy, or u can say it’s an business entity doesn’t recognize manners is a thing

Different cashiers has charged me twice for a single unit so many times, hope was a mistake but never seen they forgot to scan one

Only meats are here I would say comparatively good quality and certified halal I believe

Still coming here from over a decade since it’s within half block of my apartment and i guess so many people does the same thing knowing all these facts and not complaining to BBB or NYC, and this is how they keep up their...

I live upstairs in Zara so my family does all the shopping from Mannan but whenever I come after finish my work say about after midnight I see the night manager who normally works on the check out is very hard to find him, either he disappeared for restroom or chatting with some one also doesn’t care that I’m waiting to be served, got to scream to get or find him. He is totally mannerless, rude & unskilled employee of Mannan. My friend who lives in Zara he already alert me about him. Today I gave my key in his hand to scan the Mannan card and he just throw back the key on the check out. So I said to him show some respect or manner because I gave you the key bunch to your hand so I deserve the same then he said I’m tired of doing it. I said that’s your job if you can’t do your job with respect you shouldn’t be here then he said this is my shop why I will go.
