Me and my family walk in the restaurant . There were no tables available to fit us all. The owner of the restaurant said that if we wait for 10-15 minutes he will sit us down. We waited but after half an hour we were getting tired and hungry. I was told that if we ordered food before we get a table we can’t stay to eat it inside because the only way that we could eat at the table is if we place an order physically sitting at one. We decided to order to go. On our way out the large table opened up . We asked kindly if we could just sit and eat the food that we just purchased but the staff said no! Really ? We just spanned couple of hundreds of dollars and you don’t let us eat? We were so disappointed and discussed the way we were treated. If this is Turkish hospitality - they have to learn a lot! We walked outside . My son wanted a slice of pizza from the pizza place next door. When the pizzerias employees found out how the gyro place treated us they let us eat our food inside they place. Thank you, just that simple act of kindness made us feel...
Read moreI visited NYC for the first time in August of this year. I stayed in Times Square. I initially had a booking for s Greek place way in Brooklyn but was too nervous to ride the subway that far. I was super set on having Greek food regardless and decided to see what spots were nearby. There were some upscale ones that popped up but none of them with the menu items i was really hoping for except Turco’s. The service was quick and the food was.. divine! When I tell you haven’t stopped thinking about that homemade bread since I finished eating in August, I wish I was kidding. I legitimately cried tears and called my friend proclaiming it to be the absolute best bread I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been googling places near me and even how to make it myself and no luck. At this point I’m considering buying a plane ticket to NYC just to get some, it’s THAT serious. (( whatever I need to do to have some shipped to me, I’LL DO IT. )) there’s a cute little hole in the wall greek place fr close to me in texas but they don’t...
Read moreJust so fantastic. Picked this joint based on reviews and the experience did not disappoint. Fast efficient service. Not the most friendly but could be a cultural thing.
You can eat in or take out. The dining area is cramped and a little dirty. This is not fancy restaurant table service, but it is table service that's sufficient.
I got a tabouli and a mixt gyro sandwich. The gyro reminded me of the doner kebab pita wraps I used to get from the Turkish street vendors in Paris. This was a taste I've been chasing for years and finally found it here.
Homemade bread and high quality meat. So fing delicious omg I am salivating right now as I reflect.
I was also very impressed by the freshness of the tabouli salad and the flavors of the tzatziki and especially hot sauces that came on the side.
What a gem this place is. Will certainly visit again and again when I'm in the area. Definitely visit if you are...
