What I love most about this restaurant is that it doesn’t feel overly modern or pretentious like some places that make you feel out of place. Here, they treat you like family, not just another customer. The food is incredibly authentic, reminding me of the Mexican dishes from my parents’ hometown. The portions are generous, but what truly stands out is the freshness. Everything, from the hot sauces to the tortillas and pico de gallo, is made in house, and you can taste the difference. Their mole sauce is to die for, easily the best on the East Coast. It has that deep, rich, authentic flavor that’s hard to find. The pineapple habanero sauce is also amazing, and you can even buy a bottle to take home since they make it fresh. The al pastor and carnitas tacos are absolutely delicious, and if you’re in the mood for something heartier, their ribeye steaks are fantastic. The menu is huge, offering an incredible variety, but no matter what you choose, you really can’t go wrong. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between romantic and welcoming, making it just as great for a date night as it is for a family gathering. I love that it caters to everyone, regardless of age or background, without feeling exclusive or like you need to fit a certain social status to enjoy it. It’s also a perfect spot to bring friends, grab a few bites, and explore the extensive cocktail menu. The drinks are absolutely phenomenal. With so many options, there’s always something new to try. Even with a smaller staff, the service is top tier. It does get busy, especially on weekends and at night, but the team works hard to make sure you feel at home and taken care of. If you’re celebrating a birthday, they make it truly special with a full celebration, a mariachi hat, a free pastry, and a lively song. One of my favorite things about this place is the attention to detail. Every holiday, they take the time to decorate, making sure the space never feels bland. Their effort and dedication don’t go unnoticed, and it’s clear they genuinely care about creating a great experience for their guests. This place is a hidden gem with amazing food, incredible drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to keep...
Read moreNuevo Mexico has some of the most outstanding food that will ever grace your lips! Every food is freshly prepared and made with so much love and fresh ingredients. This gem of a restaurant is in my own neighborhood and has been here almost 30 years and I never knew about it. The decor from when you walk in is very rustic and makes you feel transported to Mexico in all the best ways then you get greeted by very friendly staff and then they bring you chips and salsa to start. The salsa is so amazingly good you already know everything afterwards is only going to get better. They have many flavors of margaritas to choose from and many different tequilas to use as well to enhance your margarita drinking experience. Their house margarita is the jalepeno margarita and if you like things a little spicy you will love it, if not all the rest of the margaritas are delish too. Now I had the fish tacos which I must say is the best tacos I ever ate before. I also had the shrimp tacos as well delicious but didn't have enough shrimp to be as fulfilling. Then I had the Camarones a la Mojo de Ajo and it comes with the most succulent jumbo shrimp in a smooth and flavor filled garlic sauce and yellow rice. It was beyond amazing and I wish I could eat this everyday! Affordable, yummy and they have happy hour all week long and also live music on Friday nights! Read moreWent in there to celebrate my cousin’s birthday and also the new year 2024. To begin there was 10 of us and some fat waiter took a table from us to accommodate another person coming in afterwards. We told him we didn’t fit and he got mad and threw the table back and walked away. Then when the food came it was the wrong meat for a torta de al pastor same waiter took it walked a few steps, returned to the table threw the torta and stated yes that is carne al pastor, when it was clearly beef. They gave us a little container with chips, ordered more but they never took them to us. Then the drinks were pure ice no flavor but liquor and ice, we ordered margaritas and piñas coladas, horrible. The bar woman should be fired she clearly can’t make drinks for her life. There is a gratuity service fee added automatically to the bill. Our bill came up to almost 650.00 and they got mad cause we didn’t leave no extra tip. Seriously the worst drinks, bad service and attitude for no reason. I mean if people come in to your business and you want to make money you should put more effort in taking care of the guest in a proper, friendlier manner!!...
