YOU DONT HAVE TO GO TO THE CLUB TO CANCEL YOU CAN SEND A LETTER!!
Staff is not trained correctly.
Staff will lie to you any tell you the only way is cancelling in club. (Possibly due to ignorance or a way to force you to keep paying until you come in person)
I wanted to change my account to a 10$$ plan instead of having a black card. The employee helping me didn’t know whether or not I would be placed under commitment for another year and said The only way I could change my membership is in club.
I was told that I had to go to the club to cancel that there was no other way when I called the club. I come by to the club to cancel and had problems with buyout fee. So I waited until the next time I can come to the club which is 4 months later to cancel (I work full time and go to school full time) This is what they tell me:
We are still going to change you for next months bill because it’s already processing 6 days before the due date.
We are not going to refund you even though you cancelled before your next bill date.
If you wanted to cancel sooner you could have cancelled with a letter. (Mind you I was told the only way to cancel was in club)
If the employees here were trained I would have sent a letter months ago cancelling. Worst experience with a fitness center ever.
Update: According to the owner. If you have questions about canceling ask the manager (Steven)because no one else know what’s going on.
Thanks for nothing planet fitness I will never pay for a membership to come here again. What a total waste of time and money.
Bump: Don’t forget you can cancel with a letter as the response from the gym :)
Bump again
Bump again . . ....
Read moreI had signed up a month before the pandemic began. During the pandemic they stopped charging me for the membership, which I appreciated. Before the gyms reopened around August, I contacted them via email and asked them to cancel my membership.
I never received any response from them, and was charged for the month of September. It was a total of around $10.
I contacted the gym again and advised them I had requested to cancel back in August. The representative I spoke to was so rude, kept talking to me and 2 other people all at the same time. He told he could not refund me the fees. I asked to speak with a manager, I explained to him that I had requested a cancellation back in August. He told me he did not see the email but he would process the cancellation. He was also rude and trying to rush me off the phone.
Fast forward to November, I was charged again. I did not notice that I was also charged in October. Not only was I charged for two months after I spoke to someone to cancel they also INCREASED my membership to $24.
At this point I was super frustrated by the service I received by this location. I called them again. After speaking to the manager, he told me he would process the cancellation, and my refund and that he saw my email.
It’s now been nearly a month and still no refund. I called the location again and was told no manager...
Read moreAt first when I started coming here. I really liked it. Thought the gym was clean and staff was friendly. Now the gym is beyond over crowded. The gym goers hardly clean their sweat off the machines, the staff isn't as friendly. The gym is filthy not sure why everyone says its so clean. dust on the treadmills, garbage spilling out the garbage. Weights everywhere its like a wild goose chase trying to find the missing weights. Even the mats wind up o the other side of the gym. The muscle are constantly hogging and crowding the machines even when their not working out. The ladies room smells like urine and its dirty and wet all the time. I almost fell from the amount of water on the floor. its not ok to just prop up a sign and leave the floor wet. The steppers machines have been out of order for over a month. Leg machine also out of order, bicep machine also out of order. What the hell is going on here??? Please fix. Just because its not an upscale neighborhood doesn't mean the gym has to be filthy and run down and not in order. And please tell your employees that it would be nice if they greet us as we come in. So...
