OVERALL CLEANLINESS: 10/10 - Assigned staff is always seen providing additional cleaning to the machines and facility. Sanitation supplies are often replaced, unless staff busy.
BATHROOMS/SHOWERS: 10/10 - If you do see toilet issues (u know that a patron did that a minute ago). Major + is they have an air purifier plugged in at all times.
SMITH MACHINES: 7/10 - It is a common practice at ea franchise to have only three. They are becoming popular among females, this increases wait times as they take longer time to complete their glute work out. God help you if they are a group. Ellipticals are running out of favor. I hope they will remove a couple on the upper level or lower and get at least one more smith machine. Maybe expensive, but please put it in the works.
EQUIPMENT FUNCTIONALITY: 15/10 - This branch don't play. Repairs are done within 24 hrs.
TRAINERS AVAIL: 10/10 - I see one or two seasoned ones taking newbies (mainly females) through their paces. Friendly, helpful no intimidation. Always friendly and smiling, even if you are dazed during ur work out. They will engaged you by saying "hi" or give you a pound.
MINI LOUNGE AREA: 15/10 - Hardly see this at the other branches, its located on the first level. Comfortable sofa set. Used it many a times to wait for my kid after working out. Super brilliant idea. Thank you ....thank you.
THE MANAGER: 10/10 - I often observed her being on point with coordination, supervision and liaison issues with machines support tech.
OVERALL SPACE AND DESIGN: 10/10 - It is spacious like the one on Broadway. Love the open floor design.
HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT: 15/10 major +. did I say major +? You need these!!
SPACIOUS LOCKERS: 15/10 - Yow....not the narrow metal types. You can move your apt into them. I wish I had these at work.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: 10/10 - Never seen or observe the staff being rude or dismissive. Busy yes....but not rude. You engage them, even on the floor they will stop to explain in depth. Ask dumb ques repeatedly, to waste their time? I would give the annoyed look. Every institution has policies!!
OPERATIONAL TIME: (no rating) All the branches have change it. I understand it. Hope this will revert to 25/7, in the future.

Read moreMostly everyone who works here isn’t on the same page. They have this “limit” of 2 guest at a time on the main floor where front desk is located. There’s times the gym isn’t at capacity and people already with memberships would have to wait 20-30 minutes outside waiting on people inside signing up for the gym because of this “limit”. Checking in to the gym takes less than 30 seconds so why not designate 1 person to check in people with memberships and another to take care of sign ups rather than allowing 2 people to sign up at the same time. It’s not 70 degrees outside so having a better efficient system for actual members would have been great.
They had implemented this system where you’ll give a personal item and in return you can get a cable attachment clip since people were actually taking them.I go in today and the guy behind the front desk said that they aren’t doing that anymore. I go downstairs and out of the 9 cable machines, there was only 1 that had an attachment clip. I was so baffled that I had to take a video. Gym is unorganized, I went in at 3 and there were weights all over the place. Most of the time you can’t find the weights you’re looking for. They’ll put caution tape on a machine that there’s only 1 of in the entire gym for social distancing purposes while also leaving 2 of the same machines open. I see the staff get frustrated because they see how the way things are ran are unorganized and make no sense. So at this point I only blame management.

Read more3/4/2019 I was surprised to receive a call Daisy the manager there at planet fitness. she apologized for the delay. I will add one star for Daisy following up.
2/22/19 I canceled my membership, at that point they still had not issued me my refund. I finally received my refund after contacting PFtwitter and sending an email. I'll give one star to the dude that handled my cancellation, he was professional and pleasant. I will never join planet fitness again. they have an overall lack of accountability and customer service skills.
1/8/19. my issue was never resolved. I plan on canceling my membership.
edit... clearly the "owner" didn't read my review. Also , Jessica never did return my calls. However, after a week my issue may have been resolved. I wont know until after 30 business days. fyi, posting canned response, isnt adequate customer service.
if you have a issue, it's always a wait here. they also make promises to make signing the contract appealing and once you've signed forget about. Customer service absolutely sucks here. how is it that checking in guests has more of priority over a member having a billing issue. who was there before them.
