my car stalled out on the henry hudson and i made it to 131st and broadway .they told me it would be 120 diag. i got called a day later saying the car was running after changing a maf sensor.i paid 300 for that. but had a bad misfire . they told me it would be another 300 to fix the misfire i didnt have enough at the time so took the car home and left it parked. i checked the wiring diagram for the coils and they were put back on backwards(took me almost 2 weeks to find the problem). so i fixed it myself watching youtube and downloading diagrams . thanks a lot for that diagnostic. the lady at the counter was nice

If you own a Lexus/Toyota with a 3.5L-V6 engine (code: 2GR-FKS; which is mainly installed in RX, IS, Tacoma, Sienna, and some Highlander, from 2014 to now), you will very likely experience an oil leak after 70,000 miles (rear main seal, timing chain cover, valve cover due to aging of sealing material). Additionally, at that moment, you probably will be out of the initial 6-year powertrain warranty (assuming no extension bought). In this very case, you need an indie mechanic. Surely, Mike and his team will provide what you need and solve what you encounter.

I highly recommend Prestige. They have serviced my car four or five times in the past 18 months (it's a 2007 Subaru Outback with more than 190,000 miles on it) at more reasonable prices than the midtown garage I used to go to. They are also very flexible about keeping my car until I have time to come pick it up. But it is my most recent experience that prompts me to write this review. I am getting ready to get rid of my car and was hearing a troubling rough noise and vibration whenever the car was running that made me worry the car might stall at any moment. I took the car to Prestige and told Mike that I couldn't spend much money on it because I wasn't going to keep it much longer. I asked him to do only what was necessary to make it safe to drive. Turns out it was a leak in the exhaust system (which he diagnosed immediately upon hearing the car). When I came to pick it up he told me they tried to seal or patch the leak, but it didn't work. He remembered that I didn't want to spend much money on it and told me that since replacing the part would cost about $1,000 he didn't recommend doing it. He told me the car was safe to drive, though the noise would get louder. No charge. Zero. Not even for the labor to try to fix the problem. I have continued to drive the car for two months and am now about to give it up. I can't recommend Prestige highly enough for their honest and customer-oriented service. Plus everybody I interacted with was friendly, warm and helpful. You won't be sorry if you take your car...

I spent over $1,300 to have my car repaired after it overheated. In the 10 years I've owned the car this is the first time its ever overheated. From their garage I drove 3 hours (100 miles) to go home and the car overheated again, and the motor died. A few days later, still in shock, I called Prestige and was told that if I had my car towed back to the garage (100 miles at my own expense?!) it would be looked at but the conclusion of the owner of the garage was that what had happened was due to my own negligence for not stopping when the car overheated. Why does one go to a specialist rather than fix the problem oneself? Because the specialist is thought to heave expertise that one doesn’t have! If I could have figured out that after having my car repaired and being charged a substantial amount of money it was not a good idea to drive it home, I would not have done so! After I called a second time to contest the bad repair and charge, I was told that the car was not necessarily ready when I picked it up but because I had expressed that I wanted to go home as soon as possible, I was told "Your car is ready", and given my car back to drive home! Since I am not a mechanic, I will never know how my car was repaired and what happened but when it comes to communicating with a client, I can say with absolute confidence that Prestige failed. Had I been told that the mechanic thought that the car was not ready and needed more test driving, I would never have risked losing the...

This is the best automotive body shop I've ever been to. The manager, Mike, really took care of my concerns and made me feel very much at ease. One morning I discovered my driver side mirror was partially pulled off of the car. I was unable to use it when driving. I researched a shop near my job, and made an appointment. The manager, Mike, called me personally shortly after to discuss the issue. The next day I brought my car to the shop. Being a single woman, I was concerned that I might get taken advantage of, and overcharged.

But from the first moment that I met Mike, he really made me feel comfortable. After our greetings and initial discussion he made sure I was able to get coffee (which was a vital need), while I waited.

Mike and one of his workers was able to fix the problem. He was so kind, he didn't even charge me for the work! I was blown away!!! What a kind deed!! I plan on bringing my car back to have some other major work done. Looks like they have a customer for life!!

Thank you Mike and your team!!! ...
