Prospect Park Waterfall — Attraction in New York

When I told my colleagues that I had seen a waterfall, they refused to believe me. Perhaps it's the cynicism of reality, taking its final toll to cement its solidarity with progress. Perhaps they had only explored the surrounding paths and tunnels, turning a blind eye to spectacles detached from utility. Perhaps they hadn't seen it. Only Xeus knows.

That said, the waterfall satisfies a certain playful childish instinct, balanced with the precariously piled rocks that stand as metaphors of aspirational music video moves to uncoordinated passers by.

There was a stray spring peeper rounding a corner as I made my way by the boulders, and he offered the following testimony:

I visited the park on an unusual snowy early morning and yet it was burstling with life. People walking their digs, birds chirping. Thr paths were not all cleared as it has snowed a lot. There is even a coffee shop by the dog park and it was opened. In my opinions, there is one thing that vould be improved directions and maps. In order to find my way, I had to use my GPS...

Com que estàvem uns dies per Nova York amb la nostra filla de 10 anys, vam reservar un poc de temps per a visitar localitzacions de pel·lícules, i així passàrem per ací per a vore la famosa cascada que ix a la pel·lícula d'animació "Els Barrufets", de 2011.

El lloc és bonic, però per a nosaltres va ser l'excusa per a esmorzar tranquil·lament al parc, que ens va sorprendre molt gratament. Està molt ben dotat, i té unes àrees per a picnic molt grans, amb ombra i calma.

Paga la pena allunyar-se del soroll incessant...
