So we picked this spot b/c of the desserts and we should’ve left after the first drink was sent back. The spiked lemonade tasted like it was Minute Maid w/ vodka, tasted very artificial. The tacos and the shrimp quesadilla were good. The Mexican salad was so bad! The chicken was unseasoned and tasted so weird. Needless to say we didn’t stay for dessert.

I’ve been coming here for years, it is one of my favorite places to eat and drink near Prospect Park. Hector is the best server, he always makes us feel at home. Excellent service, kind, and respectful. Special shout out to Alex as well! These are some of the nicest people, always feel welcomed! We are regulars because of the great service and food.

Overcooked eggs and chilaquiles don't mix. Don't even make adding eggs an option if you're going to be that way. Chilaquiles don't have lettuce on them either. If someone wants lettuce they can ask for it. Take the chilaquiles off the menu instead of punishing patrons for ordering them. This messed up my Sunday morning.

Food and service were horrible. Enchiladas were stuffed with what tasted like gamey old chicken. They used chopped up dark meat inside instead of the usual shredded chicken breast. The sauce also did not taste fresh. It had a strange taste and totally lacked flavor. The rice was gross. Literally everything was terrible. We got steak tacos also. I asked if they were lean or had pieces of fat (I hate fat in my steak tacos). He said they didn’t have fat. Well… they had a considerable amount of fat and the tortilla was soaked in oil that was not fresh. We waited around ten minutes and my margarita never arrived (the place was not busy so they just forgot). When our food arrived, I just told him to forget about my margarita (although I knew he already had forgotten). Both my mother and I felt gross after eating and the bad quality made my excema flare up....

I would HIGHLY recommend that no one come here. When my family and I walked in we were basically the only ones in there besides the staff. After we put in our order then others started to come in. Everyone BESIDES MY 9 YR OLD NIECE received their food( which was some of the most unflavored Mexican food I EVER had. Even the two sauces on top and cheese inside my quesadilla didn’t really taste like anything.) It was only 6 of us including my niece and we actually only ordered 5 entrees and me and my niece ordered the same thing. We told them the food was missing, the server came up to us to say that the food was coming, then they just ignored us. It got to a point where she started to cry and I had to run out and get her chips. Others were getting their food while all of this was happening so I have no idea why they chose to...

PROS: These are the best tacos for miles. Their fish taco is incredible. I never order fish tacos anywhere else because it will never compare to these. I've been told by friends that the el pastor and steak tacos are top tier too. Their breakfast options are delicious, if a bit pricey. The salsa verde is soooooo good, I wish I could buy a bottle. This is a great spot to grab tacos to go if you want to hang out in the park.

CONS: Understaffed on busy days (weekends especially), so expect a wait time. If you have trouble flagging someone down, they're very understanding if you go up to the counter to ask for help. The nopal taco is just okay. Not the cheapest tacos (2 tacos plus tip comes out to about $20) but the quality is worth the price...
