BEAUTIFUL DECOR, SO SO FOOD AND TERRIBLE SERVICE. The place has a lot of potential if it had better management. They don’t seem to care about their eat in costumers. All of their attention is forwarded towards their delivery section to the right of their restaurant where most of their employees spend their time. I just moved to this neighborhood and my fiancé proposed us to try out this place. When I first entered the place I was impressed with the beautiful decor until they told me to sit on their annexed room pilled with brown bagged deliveries. The room had a small window where people were constantly rushing back and forth from the small clustered room to serve their take out. I refused to sit in such a clustered space. We set down on their waiting bench to wait for a table in the main room. On the bench there was a food tray with two dumplings and a jar of drink. I kept wandering what da reck was it. Maybe some peace offering? Maybe an employee forgot their lunch there? It was weird and made me feel uncomfortable. We sat in the main room, first dish, duck bun which was pretty good. I felt it was worth the wait. Second dish, fried calamari, a little too doughy but abundant, not bad. Then comes my favorite dish, shrimp green curry. Shrimp size looked good and all the vegetables I expected were in. I place a full spoon of what looks so delicious in my mouth and literally spit out. I have never had curry this spicy in my life. Not even in Thailand! I’m so used to be asked if I want it mild when the place offers a hot curry that I did not even think about asking for a mild curry. The bowl stood in front of me throughout the whole dinner and no one ever asked me how was my food. My fiancé tried to eat hers because she was super hungry, but gave up halfway. Since there was no offer to fix it, I asked the food to be boxed to go so I could add more coconut milk at home and make it possibly edible. When I explained to the waiter that the food was unbearably hot to be eaten, just before my fiancé gave up on trying to eat it, her answer was “you should ask for mild next time”. We all know that when we choose to spend our money on eating out we would like to relax and enjoy our food. The food here is pretty affordable, some of the dishes going around looked fantastic. Maybe I would be willing to try again if they change management. Meanwhile, I rather commute the extra mile to one of the two other Thai places I know in Park Slope where the food is great and the service is fantastic.

I had previously placed an online order from this establishment and was somewhat disappointed. Therefore, I decided to give it a chance by visiting in person, hoping for a change of opinion. Unfortunately, my experience did not improve. Upon entering the restaurant, I realized that it was much smaller than I had anticipated, creating a cramped atmosphere. I would not recommend this place for large parties, as it is not suitable for more than two people. Although we were seated promptly, we had to wait for about 15 to 20 minutes before a server came to take our order. Throughout the evening, we encountered four different servers. As someone who works in operations, I found this lack of efficiency concerning, despite not being in the food industry myself. To make matters worse, the party seated next to us, who arrived 20 minutes after us, was served before us and received all of their orders first. This was quite frustrating, considering the amount of time we had already spent waiting. Nevertheless, we decided to stay and make the best of our time. Once we placed our orders, it became evident that this restaurant does not offer authentic Thai cuisine. I have never been to a Thai establishment that does not provide the option of "Thai spice." However, I digress. The only highlight of the night was the appetizers we ordered. Unfortunately, the drunken noodles were bland and lacked the desired level of spice. I would not recommend dining in at this restaurant. If you happen to be in the area and need a quick snack, I suggest only grabbing some appetizers and drinks to go. When we requested the check, it took an additional 15 minutes to arrive at our table. Overall, this experience has left a lasting impression on me, and I have no intention of returning in the future.

Truly, the RUDEST server I've ever encountered. I've never written a review just to call out one rude employee. Also, as context, I'm also an Asian female just like the server is, and I used to be a server in the past. I treat all customer service staff with consideration and respect.

In a nutshell: Incredibly rude server who huffed and glared at us the whole time She forced us to order 2 entrees tableside, and 1 to-go, despite having no vegetarian entree options She never bothered to try and communicate properly; she kept insisting her point and was incredibly impatient, despite the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty

We were a party of 2 in a relatively empty setting (there were only 1-2 other tables beside us). For background context, it was clear our server didn't speak English as our first language (which is fine), and us two Asian-American females tried to communicate with her as best as we could in English.

It started off by me politely asking her if she had any vegetarian noodles; she was clearly annoyed by this request (no, none of them could be made without fish sauce). I asked her for a few minutes to decide on the options, and she said "Oh...kaaaay..." in a clearly annoyed voice, and left.

She came back a few minutes later, and I said my friend would just order 1 entree to dine here, and get another entree to-go, since there was nothing vegetarian for me to eat. She pointed to the veggie dishes; I politely said I didn't feel like a veggie dish at the moment, and none of the noodles were vegetarian. She became very irritated and insisted that we HAD two order two dishes, and there are other tables coming (Where??? We had just sat down, and there were at least 3 empty tables)

I tried telling her that my friend is ordering 2 dishes: one here, one to-go, but the waitress insisted on us ordering 2 dishes for the table. I don't understand this ridiculous requirement, and it's possible there was miscommunication there. What was clear, however, was her rude and snobbish attitude. She kept huffing and sighing as if we were making a completely irrational request. Again, I asked for a few more minutes since we now have to decide what 2 dishes to order here. Again, she was irritated. She (again) said sarcastically, "Oh-kaaay...." and walked away.

A few mins later, we ordered two non-vegetarian noodles for my friend to eat. She then asked what we're ordering to-go. I said, "We're ordering 2 dishes for here, why do we have to order another one to-go?" The rude server wasn't interested in communicating, and she kept insisting on us ordering a third dish to-go. (WHY???) My friend relented and ordered a fried rice to-go, despite not wanting to initially.

As she was abruptly leaving our table after the order, I politely asked, "Could we get an ice water and warm water please?" She whipped around and said loudly, "HAAH?!" with an angry, confrontational expression. My friend and I were stunned; she acted as if I just deeply offended her. I repeated the question again, slowly and with emphasis, and she understood and walked away.

Even my friend was shocked. "I asked politely, didn't I?" She agreed; I had been polite to her the entire time, and her rudeness was entirely unprovoked. From the moment we sat down to the moment we finally made our order, only around 10-15 minutes had passed (again, because she KEPT INSISTING that we order more and more dishes), but yet we felt like she was rushing us out the whole time for the nonexistent tables that were coming.

The pros? The ambience was lovely, and my friend said the food was very good (it did look delicious; if only they made vegetarian noodle options!). The cashier/server who helped us pay by the door was VERY kind and sweet. Hopefully that's the server that you end up getting!

I would be giving a lower rating, but I don't want to drastically bring down the restaurant rating due to the behavior of one rude server. I hope that that day wasn't representative of how her customer service usually is.

I will not be returning as long as that...

We ordered over the phone but unfortunately there seemed to be a miscommunication about what we order and we received an incorrect item. As we tried to explain that though we did not want the incorrect item nor would the kitchen have to spend extra time remaking the order, we will gladly pay for the rest of our order except we were told that there was no way to take off the item and that we would have to pay for the whole order regardless that the item was incorrect. We again tried to explain that we had no problem paying for our order but we did not want to pay for the incorrect item and this eventually ended up in a back and forth with the owner. We were yelled at for not being clear over the phone, wasting their time, not wanting to pay for the food we ordered and eventually had someone else come out to help us explain that we were not trying to start any trouble. The last thing we wanted was to waste food and we tried to explain that we just wanted the incorrect item removed and not the entire order. We were allowed to eventually pay for our order but only after resorting to threatening to leave entirely after the continuous back and forth. We definitely understood that this was probably due to the stress of literally everything happening in the world right now and we tried our best to mitigate the situation without being rude or blaming the owner because it wasn’t her fault. I would recommend this place to anyone because the food is great and the service is fast but the interaction did left us severely disappointed. In the midst of this, they were talking calls and handling delivery requests so this also added to the heightened stress of everything. I would say if possible, perhaps place an order through a delivery service that does not take as much of a fee. It is a great place for food but the interaction we had was just not...
