Slowloris — Restaurant in New York

I don't often write reviews but Slowloris deserves one! I've been coming here regularly for months, when I say this is my favorite restaurant I mean it whole with my whole heart. I honestly can't say enough about this restaurant so you'll have to try it for yourself but I'll touch on some of the selling points.

Service. The servers here are absolutely fantastic! They take great care of their guests and treat everyone with so much kindness and respect. The servers take your order and get the food out very fast, even when it's busy you normally don't have to wait long. Ever since the first time I went to Slowloris the service was great, as a regular the service is even better. If you eat there a couple times and actually talk to the servers the will remember you and your favorites from the menu which is always such a great feeling in a city as big as ours. There are only a few servers at the restaurant but they are all amazing, J has been one of my servers over the last few months and I can't speak highly enough about his service, he is honestly the best server I've had probably ever!

Food. GOD THE FOOD! THE FOOD! Slowloris is absolutely amazing! I've tried a number of items on the menu from appetizers, to sushi, and of course a couple different entrees, everything I've ordered has been fresh and delicious! I'm a creature of habit so I do tend to get the same meal most times I go, but everything I've tried has been incredibly delicious. Personally I absolutely love their miso soup, it's some of the best I've ever had. If you like having a drink with your meal you can never go wrong with a bottle of Soju, it's always cold, delicious and pairs well with the food, I recommend the grapefruit Soju (it's my favorite.) I could go on and on about the food at Slowloris.

Atmosphere. Slowloris is a super cute restaurant, not too big, not too small. The art inside is fun and colorful without being too imposing. The icing on the cake is that the restaurant is SLOTH themed! How can you not love that???

Overall this restaurant is fantastic in every way! If you don't believe me, then try it for yourself because I promise you won't regret it! Now stop reading and go eat at my favorite restaurant!!!!!

PS. Don't listen to the bad reviews they honestly don't know what they are talking about, this...

I went here a few days ago for a quick dinner with some girlfriends and we were all for real sooo impressed!! So impressed that I'm here writing a review days later! I wish I took pics of our food but we were all really quick to dig into our meals so ...that didn't happen.

I thought this place was a "hole in the wall," but when I walked in, there were actually so many people! We were barely able to get seats, so make a reservation if you can, which I will definitely do next time.

We split a beef galbi, bul gogi, stone bowl bi bim bap, and soju. Everything was so good, but the dish that stood out most to me was the beef galbi. The flavor and juiciness was unreal. I'm dying to go back. The rolls that came out for other tables were also sooo beautiful! Made us regret not ordering a roll, so I think we will definitely be doing that next time.

Service was also really good! It was busy but the waiters were actually attentive and kind regardless, and were able to give us refills and whatever else we needed while we were there. Plus, the inside and outside of this establishment are so well decorated. I will most certainly be back soon, especially for the galbi and drinks!! Gonna try all the soju and sake flavors while...

wow, wow, WOW!!!!!! this place is absolutely unbelievable and I am SO mad at myself for not coming here sooner!!!! first of all, get the bulgogi. it comes on this amazing sizzling hot plate with a bowl of rice. doesn't sound all that special, but it is. it is SOOOO good. the soondubu is also perfection. the tofu is so soft and the broth tastes incredible. I absolutely love it. It tastes like authentic korean food, which is so hard to nail on the head. This place does this 100%. it makes me miss my parents so much.

as for sushi, I have not tried much besides the classic rolls, but they are so good!!! so fresh and yummy! the sushi chef is also very kind and thanks you on the way out. staff is also great as well - very attentive and sweet!!! the spicy rolls (both tuna and salmon) are great.

seriously, cannot wait to come back here when I'm free again. I love trying restaurants that are not chain restaurants and this one is at the VERY top of my list. HIGHLY recommend.

PS they are taking covid measures very seriously, which is a bonus! masks are on the staff 100% of the time, temperatures of every customer is taken, hand sanitizer is on every table, every table is...
