Ok so I'm back writing about the service I received last week that almost made me call it quits to my favorite coffee shop, well first off it was a young I think maybe Hispanic girl last week in the morning that I've never seen before, I instructed her that I wanted my favorite and only drink which was a hibiscus matcha glow ICE 🧊 I also told her it's now on the menu ass MOODY ROSE or something, she said ok I notice she made it in the wrong order that they usually make it but I didn't sweat it because I said maybe that's her way of making it, she handed it to me and it was hot, I told her NO I asked for ice, she then proceeded to get a ice cup fill it with ice and then dump the hot drink inside, at this point I tasted the drink, it was extremely horrible and curded, at first I was going to leave because she had an attitude, then I said, you no what my money paid for this why not get it right, so I asked for it to be made over and she looked extremely frustrated, I tried to direct her on how I wanted MY DRINK to be made and still she had this attitude as if she knows what she's doing and she doesn't need my help, she made the drink and of course it was wrong again! Being extremely sour and curded, my first thoughts was im gonna take this up with the owner because I have never experienced such service from here, and almost made me not come back, until I decided to go back and the ones who usually make my drink greeted me and made me the most perfect matcha as always, I will keep coming, however service from that particular young women needs to be worked on, also she needs to know that it's ok to take constructive criticism from customers on how they want their drinks to made because it's our money that we're spending, however I won't lose my love for...
Read moreI went to this Cafe for the first time yesterday, so I am not sure how the general vibe is. But yesterday it was awful- I ordered beverages from the young lady at the counter, and wanted to pay with a $20 bill (left my wallet/ credit cards at my training site) . The young lady said unfortunately she doesn't have any change so I was in the process of telling her that i would come back in 2 hrs to pay with my credit card. In the midst of this conversation another lady came and proceeded to yell at the young lady in SUCH a disrespectful way that made me feel super uncomfortable. I wasn't sure if I would help or harm the young lady if I intervened so I kept my mouth closed. I have NO idea what went down between them but it is highly unprofessional to yell at somebody who works for you and makes drinks for your customers in front of said customers. What an abusive situation! When I went back to pay later i really wanted to tell that other lady what I thought about her behavior, but she wasn't there. The young lady thanked me for coming back. But it left a very sour taste in my mouth and I couldn't even enjoy my delicious beverage that came with such horrible behavior. It makes me not want to go back to support the owner. If it was indeed the owner who yelled like that,...

The outside of the store is absolutely eye-catching and gorgeous, a true standout on that block of stores. The inside of the store is equally beautiful and has a very chill vibe. I can tell the owner put lots of thought into the details of the shop's outer and inner appearance. Just stunning!
The oh-so-cool and friendly Nika (not sure if that's the correct spelling) was there and made my drink, their best-selling Hibiscus Smoothie. It's their signature drink containing strawberry, sorrel, banana, ginger, & agave. It was so refreshing and yummy! I was able to taste all of the ingredients. I was able to chat her for a bit since I was the only one in the shop. She said the owner's name is Alison and that she is very sweet and down to earth. I'm looking forward to returning to try some of the other items on the menu and hopefully meet Alison as well.
I'm so pleased to have been able to support this small Black woman-owned business for Caribbean...
