I’ve been a regal unlimited member since 2023. I like to go to different Regal’s around the city. today I went to watch Snow White and Minecraft movie again. Snow White started at 1 in the afternoon. I arrived to the theater two hours early. I already knew the drill. I never go into the auditorium early. whenever I go to regal Essex crossing or Union Square I like to hang around the hallways taking photos of the movie posters and the display. no one ever said anything to me or bothered me.
I went in two hours early. The female manager (African American woman) automatically gives me an attitude. I’m a pretty quiet person. I don’t really talk to anyone. I’m an introvert so I don’t like to talk to people anyways. I like being quiet and minding my business. when I first arrived at the theater it was closed. I printed out my tickets and sat on the floor. the manager opened the door to let the employee in and she just stared at me in a weird rude way. I’ve been going to this theater for more than a year so I never understood this behavior. after they opened I walk in and she told me I’m early and can’t go inside. But I never go inside the auditorium. I hang around the theater just taking photos of the display. that seemed like an issue for her but I never went upstairs. I listened. I respected what she said. I understood. It was no problem. after I got my popcorn and soda i went over to the area to put butter on my popcorn before sitting in the waiting area like she told me. she scolded me like i was 5 telling me I can’t go upstairs but i was going to put butter on my popcorn. I’m 36 years old not 5. If someone tells me something I listen. there’s no need to repeat yourself.
I went into the theater this morning happy. I’m going through my own personal issues so she pretty much ruined my mood. I was already angry and upset at her attitude. so then it was 12:20. Snow White started at 1 in auditorium 5 which was on the 1st floor not second. after I came out the bathroom I showed my ticket again to the ticket taker to verify. she seemed nice and quiet and I didn’t want to just go into the auditorium without notifying her first. I showed her my ticket and she said I’m good. when I was taking photos of the mission in possible poster next to auditorium 5 I heard the manager ask the ticket taker what time was my movie. I didn’t enter the auditorium yet. I purposely waited there and took more photos of the display hoping she would approach me so I can speak to her about her attitude.
I’m starting to believe she does not like me and does this on purpose. I have observed her in the past and how she would constantly ask for my ticket when I showed her my ticket before going in. she saw my face many times. I’m starting to feel like she’s personally targeting me. At the end of the day I’ve been to this theater so many times. I bought so many things from this theater. I’m quiet and don’t bother anyone. I’m always respectful. there’s no need to start trouble or give me attitudes for no reason. You respect me I respect you. I don’t know what you going through and you don’t know what I’m going through. Learn how to be nicer. The first thing you should give people when you speak to them is kindness. i probably won’t come to this location anytime soon. I’ll stick to union square and...
Read moreTHE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! The ticket booth was closed so I went to the machines to redeem my tickets. The machine froze in the middle of the transaction so I wasn't sure if I the tickets were redeemed. Called over an employee and she advices me to do the transaction again so I try and the machine freezes again. She walks me over to the concession stand so the "manager" can help. She explains the situation to him [Arturo] and he nods his head and walks away. I assumed he was doing something to fix the situation but I notice him making himself an Icee, and standing in the corner chatting with an employee. I wait 10-15 minutes, he puts his icee down and walks past me to go make conversation with another employee. I approach him to ask how long is this going to take since it's been 20+ minutes of me trying to just redeem my tickets. He responds "I need a while so if you don't want to wait you're free to leave." Now I'm visibly annoyed because I already bought tickets and just needed to redeem them but the barcode wasn't working so leaving would only put me out of my money. Did I mention my movie started in this 30 minutes I wasted in the lobby? But ARTURO could careless, but the employee he was speaking to heard him be rude to me so she walked over to me to apologize and to help. For the THIRD attempt of trying to redeem these tickets I've already bought, they finally worked but the seats I wanted are now taken. So she tells me I need to "upgrade my seats" and I said sure. There is now a price difference which I proceed to pay for but she tells me they don't accept apple pay. If I knew this information 30 minutes ago I could've gotten cash from my car or even grab my physical card. But by the time I get to the parking lot and back I would've missed so much of the movie it wasn't even worth it. I kindly asked her to override the upgrade since I lost my seats because of them and she said only Arturo the manager can do that. She called him over and he whispered to her "Not for her type of people" and proceeded to walk away. ABSOLUTELY...

I don’t usually leave reviews, but what happened to us during our recent visit to this theater was so upsetting and uncalled for that I felt the need to share. We were kicked out midway through the movie for absolutely no valid reason. A staff member came into the theater, approached us aggressively, and demanded to see our tickets. We calmly explained that we had already shown our tickets earlier and were simply enjoying the movie like everyone else.
Despite that, they insisted we leave immediately and continued questioning us in front of other guests, making us feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. When we tried to cooperate and re-present our tickets, one of us realized that the paper ticket had been lost — something that can happen to anyone, especially since paper tickets can easily be misplaced once you’re seated.
Instead of trying to verify our purchase through their system (which any professional theater would do), the staff simply refused to help, treated us with suspicion, and denied us re-entry. There was no apology, no attempt at a resolution, and their overall tone was extremely negative and confrontational.
This kind of treatment sends a horrible message to moviegoers. We were excited to see the film and support our local theater, but instead, we were treated like we did something wrong — all because of a lost paper ticket. It’s honestly disappointing to see a place that should value its community turn people away without reason and act with such a lack of professionalism and empathy.
Because of this experience, I honestly don’t feel safe or respected returning here. There are plenty of other theaters where you’re treated like a guest, not a problem. I hope management reads this and takes it seriously — not just for our sake, but for the future of this theater. If this is how they treat paying customers, they’re going to lose a lot more...
