Playground reopen just a few days ago. Everything brand new. Big sprinkler area. Mostly in shade as it's under the F / G subway track. Can be a bit noisy due to subway, but gerarally the kids are louder. There are lots of benches on the side, chess tables. Only one water fountain. Lots of equipment for any age up to around 12. There is also some green area which currently seems to be close off. There are four baby swings, no swings for older kids. Climbing equipment for under four and over five. Two monkey bars which are not too high, perfect for the strong but smaller kids. There is also a huge flag pole, but no New York or Park department flag yet. Multiple slides, but they are more for the small kids. Most of the floor is padded. There are not too many garbage bins, so hopefully people will clean up after themselves and take their trash back home.
