Edit: So we came back here to celebrate my birthday. This time we tried the tasting menu and 6 Restaurant did not disappoint. Service and food were excellent. My favorite dishes were the scallops and lamb, but really everything was quite good, including the pre-dinner ‘snacks’. This place is a neighborhood gem - highly recommend!

This place is Great. My wife and I enjoyed an amazing meal, celebrating her birthday on a rare night away from the kids. Excellent service, and every dish we had was fantastic (we devoured the anchovy toast, legume salad, scallops, picana, and chocolate torte). Looking forward to coming back to try more menu items, or perhaps the tasting menu next time!
I thought the pricing was very reasonable, given the high quality and beautiful presentation of food, and I also appreciated that the wine list had a healthy selection of moderately priced bottles (we tried a Ribolla for the first time and it was excellent).
The restaurant owner was friendly, and he took Polaroids + printed an extra for us to take back as a keepsake since it was my wife’s bday (the other print is pinned to a cork board in the restaurant, which is another fun touch). They also thoughtfully poured us complimentary glasses of port with our dessert.
Such a great addition to the neighborhood. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be...
Read moreLovely space. We got a great table which was a rounded banquette with a nice view of the chef and his team in the kitchen.
Very friendly and gracious service.
We had all the appetizers except for the olives followed by the halibut and the pork schnitzel.
For dessert we had the chocolate torte and the cheese.
Food was gorgeous looking but not dazzling for my taste. My favorite dishes were the scallops, anchovy toasts, the legumes, and chicory salad. Also the chocolate torte with amarena cherries was delicious!
There's definitely a European aesthetic to with the Scandinavian chef. Meaning everything is very well prepared but some of the flavors are subdued.
For instance, the capers and the chilies on the schnitzel tasted washed out which I guess is intentional, but not my preference. The schnitzel needed something bolder flavors to balance it. It does come with a very refreshing fennel salad and some lemon to add a little spark but for me it wasn't enough and it was a little under seasoned.
The halibut was beautifully cooked and presented but the mussels and the sauce were again very subtle but the roe added some pizzazz.
I thought the cheese was not very interesting. If you're only going to have one cheese, it should be dazzling. The fried wafer that seems like a wonton skin was kind of greasy but the Applestroop was...
Read moreCarol Garden is my new favorite area for a fine dining yet stopped to surprise me. Here is another brand new gem in its crown. This place will provide you with very fine example of Netherland culinary. The place is very classy, yet cozy and perfect for a romantic dinner. It has very open contemporary design with probably the most open kitchen that I ever seen. Imagine that you're in the loft, the dining area just continues into the kitchen without any, even formal barrier or separation. As for the food everything that we tried and I mean everything was simply delicious! The hamachi, gnocchi, mushrooms everything was top notch! The dessert was equally great, especially passion Fruit- a perfect combination of taste and texture without being too sweet. The portions on the conservative side, but were very filling and price is also very comfortable for the quality of this place. The only advice I would have to get them their tiger bread a bit bigger. The place is open just in March 2025, but already made a very recommend place if you want to have a great dining in Brooklyn. I would definitely come...
