The most impressive contemporary art gallery I’ve been to in NYC. The staff at the gallery are excellent and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the exhibition themselves. Unlike most art galleries, this gallery often features international modern artists’ extraordinary creation. For example, this week the gallery exhibits a series of gorgeous paintings on cardboard boxes which the Italian artist usually would throw away after unpacking. Just as the manager of the gallery explained “Great art doesn’t have to be made on great materials. The art on the cardboard box made it exceed the usefulness of the object of itself, perfectly exhibiting the purpose of art.” It melted my heart. Highly recommend this gallery!

A truly hidden gem in Tribeca! The gallery focuses on artists from Central Asia and beyond—something you don’t see often in NYC—and the curation is always thoughtful and engaging. We stopped by earlier this month and were blown away by the work on display. Nina and Joelle made the visit even better—both are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the artists they represent. It felt less like visiting a gallery and more like having a great conversation about art. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Visiting Sapar was thrilling. It provides such as thoughtful, well-curated space bringing a unique perspective. The current exhibit Beneath the Earth and Above the Clouds featuring Altynai and Aya, unpacks Central Asian identity, heritage, and feminine strength. The gallery is intimate and welcoming—perfect for slowing down and really taking in the art. Definitely worth a stop if you're into contemporary global art.

Surprisingly poor taste from this contemporary art gallery. I was very disappointed by the work they presented and described as "immediate and global, future-oriented and accessible, multi-sensory and immersive." In reality, this language is high-class gobbledygook and means nothing. The work they show is kitschy and masquerades as contemporary art but really just seems like a joke. Very disappointed, they seem to just be wealthy and uppity folk. Don't go here, and if you are concerned about buying art which will retain its value, certainly find somewhere else to...
