We odd experience. Me and my girlfriend are very disappointed, as we had high expectations of the Django. Instead, we left disenchanted and even somewhat dejected. I would not recommend going to this place, without being 100% sure that the performances will be carried out according to their online time schedule.

There was supposed to be a 12am/00:00 performance, so i reserved a table for me and my girlfriend at 11:30pm/23:30. We arrived on time and were seated at our table. A hostess immediately came to order our drinks, on which we both ordered one.

On 12am/00:00 the band (which was really great) unexpectedly stopped playing and then left the Django. After a short while, we went to up to one of the staff members to ask when the second show will start.

She informs us that there will be no second show anymore and that the times on the website were wrong. Surely they knew this when we arrived, but they chose to not tell us and still seated us under false pretenses...

I payed $35 per persoon + 1 drink per persoon ($106 in total) for about half an hour. of live music. What is even worse is that they also seated another couple 10 minutes before the show ended. They also were not rightly informed in advance (as can be read in their review).

We think they should have told us beforehand that the show was nearly ending, so we could have decided for ourselves if we were okay with entering or not. Alternatively, they could have offered us to not charge us the the entry fee ($35pp) or at least offered us a compensation or anything else (maybe one drink on the house, i don't know). We think that would be classy and fitting for a mistake as such.

Instead, they just charged our creditcard with the full price (as they already took it when we ordered our drinks). What should've been a good experience, left us with mixed feelings.

Hopefully the Django can read this review, on which we can perhaps some to a solution. A refund would be fair, since we were only able to watch half the performance we came for. Then i'll gladly adjust my 1-star review. Even a partial refund (50%) would be a sincere gesture.

We sincerely hope the Django actually cares about the experience they offer their guests, and not just solely cares about the money we pay. It can be seen in their recent reviews that their ratings have been declining, so it...

So I made this reservation for a birthday. On their website they had a Midnight show for last night Monday the 28th.

I got a text at 10:49 saying that to enjoy the atmosphere I should come early. I didn't really get it considering the later show I had booked. We show up and are seated right away. The show it's self was really great and we enjoyed the last 10 ish minutes. Show ends and we're expecting another show so we wait, no server comes up. I finally get someone in a white jacket who I'm guessing was a busser and we did try to order. He took our drinks and said he would check if the kitchen was still open but did say that they were shutting down but that he would send a server over. About 5-10 minutes and neither he or a server has come by.

Also noticing that no show has started, I ask the host about it who then explained the hours on the website were wrong and the last 10 minutes we caught was the last performance but she could reschedule us or we could be in the space until 1AM.

We decide we still want our drinks but since no one has come up to us, I go to the bar where I was told the bar was already closed. The gal at the bar was also confused that we had been sat so recently but she very kindly agreed to make our drinks still.

After I order at the bar a server appears and asks if we need more time with the menu. We tell her we ordered already and our drinks show up around 12:20. She also seems visibly irritated at us. We're chatting and enjoying them when around 12:33 another man in a white jacket shows up and rudely says that they are now closed and we need to leave. I tell him the host said we could stay until 1 and he informs us that the upstairs is still open.

It was incredibly rude and unacceptable. It's not on us that the hours on the website are wrong or that when we were sent a text saying the ambiance was better enjoyed earlier in the evening it did Not explicitly say that the show we booked for was already happening and had been happening (from 10:30-12). What was supposed to be a lovely birthday surprise ended with a bad taste in our mouths. Paying $40 for 1 cocktail and 1 mocktail just to get kicked out after 30 minutes was beyond bizzare and such an...

I've visited The Django several times and most recently brought my family who was visiting for the weekend. Overall, we enjoyed our evening and the fantastic band, but had a few key interactions that really left a sour taste in our mouths.

First, we arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation and checked in immediately. We happily waited until it was our reservation time to be seated, but our names were never called. About 5 minutes AFTER our reservation time, I approached the host stand to inquire about being seated and was defensively told that they had called our party several times to be seated -- which was not true as we were standing right there. We did hear a name that sounded similar to the one our reservation was under (and made our way to the host stand) but they took back another party with the name. The host was extremely defensive and did not apologize for whatever the mix-up was.

Once seated, we realized we were seated next to a very large party of clearly intoxicated patrons. I am all for a good night out, but there was no enforcement of house rules to keep chatter at a low volume, and it was both awkward and frustrating trying to listen to the band at times. Additionally, staff moved the group sitting at the table directly in front of us TWICE (a total of three parties were seated there in the hour we were there) which was super distracting and bizarre, made worse by the fact that it was always in the middle of the song.

Finally, after being told that our reservation was coming to an end and we needed to hit our drink minimum, we gladly ordered one final drink and were prepared to quickly consume it so we could leave. However, it took 25 minutes for the drink to come -- and we had staff hounding us to leave in that time. We completely understand the need to turn a table over and were happy to vacate as soon as possible, but slow bar service kept us in place.

It's a beautiful space with amazing artists, and while the drinks are expensive they are quite good... but the service is absolutely abysmal. For those looking to actually LISTEN and enjoy a live jazz show, this might not be the...
