Have you ever been in a hotel where you cannot control the temperature of the air-conditioning in the room, me neither until now.

Apparently this hotel has a centralised air conditioning control so you have to go to reception to adjust the temperature 🤔 for your bedroom, which contains an adjuster with the buttons removed.

The rooms are extremely dated, holes and pulls in the carpet, dirty walls, lamps with plug sockets in the base (which appear to be the only sockets) and an iPod dock for the iPod connection from 2011. I suppose what more can you expect when you choose to stay in a hotel that advertises free WiFi and colour TVs in 2019...

Additionally, the bathroom was dirty with mold growing in the shower basin and up the walls, the shower trays were hanging off the wall and the towels in the room had a range of long black hair on them, make up stains and food stains.

The only positives are the decent view from the large number of windows in a king deluxe room and the large bathroom.

As per other reviews I would genuinely recommend staying somewhere else, Soho gardens hotel needs some serious modernisation and a...

I booked this hotel for a scheduled trip in September. A few weeks afterwards it became clear that I would not be able to travel at that time afterall. I specifically chose this hotel because of location but also as they offered a full refund for cancellation. |Once I cancelled the trip through booking.com I waited the 30 days for refund and when this didn't happen, I emailed them to ask what was happening. No response.|I waited a couple of weeks until the next credit card statement came in. No refund. Emailed again. No response.|A few days later I emailed again demanding action. No response. Nothing.|I gave them one more chance but again, no response at all.||Eventually I contacted booking.com customer service and explained the situation. I provided proof of payment and ID etc. and they contacted the hotel for me.|A few days later I received information from them that the they had not been able to come to a satisfactory agreement with the hotel and were refunding me directly.||I have no idea what the hell was going on with these people but beware. It took a lot of effort to get my money back.|I would be careful with...

I gave three stars because I get it, it NYC, everything’s pricy but no breakfast, no gym, no pool, there wasn’t even a bathtub, just standing showers for the price paid. However, water pressure was great and the water does get hot. The towels and pillow cases had weird stains on them. I’m sure if I asked for replacements they would have accommodated because staff was friendly. I mostly give the stars because of Mike at the front desk, great customer service, polite and made you feel welcomed. The hotel is located next to assessable public transport, a planet fitness and a Starbucks. They will check your bags for you if you need to stay in the city longer than checkout.

Stayed in 205 for three nights during Comic Con 17. The room wasn't exactly large (Double Twin), but it was what we expected. However, the bathroom was downright exceptional; spacious and clean. Location is perfect and what truly reinforces my 5 Star rating. Good neighborhood. Culinary adjacent and walking distance to several attractions. And if you need to travel farther, a metro station is right outside the front door. Note: Bring headphones or earbuds if city noise obstructs your sleep. No on-site parking; plenty available nearby.
