Satori Laser — Attraction in New York

Usually I have a great experience here. I have had multiple treatments over the years, all with great results. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

But I went in for a treatment on my fingers that I had booked in advance. The technician told me that unless I am wearing gloves outside that she cannot treat that area. Please tell me who is actively wearing gloves outside in July and August in NYC? They knew I booked this particular area ahead of time, they could have told me over the phone that they do not treat fingers during the summertime before I made the trek all the way to the location for my treatment.

Additionally I work from home, inside all day and I am rarely outside. I haven’t been to a beach or a pool all summer. The technician told me that even 30 seconds of indirect sunlight would cause hyperpigmentation. I get that sun and lasers do not mix but this seems like a stretch.

I am pretty sure they counted this session as an actual treatment too, so I wasted money on this whole ordeal as well.

I disagree with your response. Prioritizing safety I can respect. But you did do something wrong - you should have never approved a booking of that area if you cannot treat it during the summer. If you did, you should have communicated on the phone that you cannot treat that area in the summer when you called me to confirm the appointment. You should have never had me come in. I’m so glad I chose Satori Laser. I researched many places and chose Satori due to the following 1) it had the most positive reviews and from what I could tell - customers that were extremely happy with their results 2) I wanted a place that specialized in laser 3) the price beat other places and 4) the phone and in-person consultation I received from staff and Tomomi was personalized - they are not just after your money. I was talked out of doing laser on my lip during the summer due to the amount of sun exposure I’d get. When I called other places, some provided no consultation at all and just wanted me to pay and come in for my session.

I lasered my underarms and full brazilian. In both areas I saw results immediately and only shaved the day before each session (once a month). I now recommend Satori Laser for these additional reasons 1) I love that I can confirm, schedule, reschedule, and ask questions through text and email (the front desk staff is amazing) 2) I love that the technicians here can help you shave in areas that you may have missed before your sessions (I had read reviews of other places that send you home if you couldn’t shave well enough) 3) I respect that the staff here respects all patient times - late patients are rescheduled because they prioritize starting sessions on time and you’ll never experience a late person’s appointment time running over yours.
