Sky Ting has been a home to me for over a year — a place where my practice deepened and where I completed my 200-hour training surrounded by people who made yoga feel intimate, warm, and real. What I’ve found here is more than a studio: it has been a community where I’ve felt supported, seen, and encouraged to grow. One of my favorite weekly offerings is Kalyn Swihart’s Ballet Beats class on Monday mornings. She offers the most radiant energy and empowerment to the start of my weeks. I’m also especially grateful for the guidance of Christopher Golden, whose teaching and mentorship have shaped my practice in ways I’ll carry with me for a long time.

Finding the studio was a bit challenging. You'll need to locate the next door after the shop and head up to the top floor.

They are doing their very best to keep yoga affordable, not a luxury, which is very hard considering NYC rents. My primary reason for starting yoga here was chronic lower back and hip pain which was getting worse. After months of coming I’m happy to say it has gotten much better (read: not cured, but way better). The instructors here are top notch, spiritual, daoist, and approachable… this is not just another “pretty yoga place” with trendy lululemon vibes, this is the real deal,...
