Best Catholic Church in Manhattan. I go every Sunday all the way from the East side and it is worth the trip. The homilies are intelligent and enlightening. It is peaceful and spiritual. In the last few years you can see a total transformation of this beautiful place of worship. The new pastor has brought back the charm and beauty of this church which used to be run down just a few years ago. I strongly recommend to make it your destination on Sunday mornings. Went for Catholic Professionals mass followed by social in the Rectory. Friendly fun diverse group attended, very welcoming and Father Rutler is a fascinating man as well as a priest. The Rectory has a great old world charm almost like walking through the Explorer's Club, perfect atmosphere for wine, snacks and friendly conversation. Catholic or not, worth checking out. Thank you Father Rutler for a beautiful Mass celebrated in a magnificent church. I live in Westchester County but travel here whenever I can for Sunday 10 AM Mass with choir. It is the best, most reverent Novus Ordo Mass I have ever experienced - the way I believe it was meant to be celebrated. Easily as reverent as any Traditional Latin Mass I have attended (and I love the TLM too!). I pray...
