The hours are not convenient. I have to travel to and from Manhattan every weekday. I have to leave at 7 am and I don't get back until about 8pm, and the store, and the pharmacy, is always closed when I need to pick up my medication. In addition, they always have problems. For example, two days ago I wanted to pay using my card, but their system was down. Previously, they tried to over charge me for medication. I had a letter from my health insurance stating the price of my medication, but they refused to adjust the price or even investigate. I asked to speak to the manager, but the manager was not there. I left my name and number for the manager to call me back. They did and wanted me to come in to speak with them about the incident. However, the manager was only available at the exact times I had to be in Manhattan. I am forced to use Walgreens because they have a contract with my health insurance company, but I wish I could go back to my pharmacy friends at CVS on Nostrand Ave and Kings Highway who are there 24hrs, who know me by name and ask about me and my family, who always smile and make small talk, who actually care and emotionally invest in their customers. Who, whenever there was a problem with medication and pricing, they would fix it before I even knew about it and inform me of what happened when I came in to pick up my medicine. I'm very disappointed at this Walgreens and am unhappy at being forced...
Read moreI honestly see why we going out of business.
The first time I went there, they didn’t sell me my prescription because the doctor sent it under my old address. Instead of merging my profiles like my old CVS did, they told me, “No, we can’t help with that.”
Today, I went to pick up my medications, and they said they couldn’t sell me controlled substances for cash. Mind you, I had already purchased them for cash twice from the same pharmacy without any issues.
Finally, today they didn’t process my medications with a coupon. I showed them a coupon to add to my prescriptions since they hadn’t added one themselves. The cashier told me, “It will take about an hour to add a coupon,” but they were closing in 45 minutes. I said, “It’s okay, I’ll come back Monday to add the coupon.” That’s when she told me, “Since it’s a controlled substance, we won’t sell it to you on Monday.” She also said that they were making an exception by allowing me to get it today.
For comparison, at my old CVS, I used to show them a coupon, and they would add it right there on the screen within a minute or two. I can easily just transfer my prescription & drive a little longer to another pharmacy rather than supporting my...
Read moreI usually don’t bother writing reviews, but after my last trip to Walgreens I honestly have to say something. Every time I go in, the place feels super understaffed. There’s always just one register open, and the line moves ridiculously slow. On top of that, almost everything is locked up, and good luck finding someone with the keys. I ended up standing around forever just waiting for help. It’s supposed to be a quick stop, but instead it feels like the exact opposite of convenience. Really...
