Lido Marina Village — Attraction in Newport Beach

I’m a resident at the Lido Island and I live here more than 10 years . I remember where Marina Village just built with all cute shops and restaurants . We were all very excited about and we still do but unfortunately lately, it’s became so UNSAFE place, because of a people from Middle East males occupied coffee shop “ Herst Coffee Roasters” sitting outside, taking all spaces including sidewalk , people can’t go thru. Usually it is around 7-12 males . They are in Marina village shopping area everyday- from morning till night. . They don’t have any coffees on the table or any food ( I never see they have anything purchased from any shops because I am local I walking there all the time ) , they just sit outside and talking loudly on their own language. I was walking Thursday to the Marina Village when I try to passed the Herst coffee shop by sidewalk , one of middle eastern male from big group pushed me. I was terrified, I had 5 month baby in stroller and dog with me. I was so shocked and it was so uncomfortable, his friends laughed loudly what he did! I felt I was walking in third world countries!!! Middle East male did not apologized or say anything he just look at me and continue walking his way, like it is normal to do so. They are so rude males and I felt so unsafe to say anything. I felt so uncomfortable and upset I tried to find security… but it was no luck ! it is very wrong, because this is my home and my home area, I can’t imagine if he push my daughter or someone child , we should do something about !!! I heard some complains from my neighbors about this situation but nobody do anything. I wondering if management of the coffee shop and Marina village with security just don’t want to deal with them . I will never let my child or her friends go there for now on , as well as I am started feel uncomfortable and not safe walking by myself in Marina village. Please be safe with those people and make sure your kids is supervised by adults in the Marina village and hopefully is community we can do something about as well as managment at the...

I really wish this was working better but frankly I've given it so many chances. Parking is impossible and no validation is offered... how is this happening? The "farmers" market had no farmers present. I guess they got no invite. But who has a famers market on Wednesdays from 1-6pm? Friday, Saturday or Sunday don't work anymore? The place has been kinda sorta under construction for 3+ years. It feels weirdly artificial and incomplete. I don't really know what needs to change but I think it's just generally slow to build a following.

I will say, the retail options are great. Don't know if they are doing good business. I never see it that crowded. Zinque is good but the service is often questionable. Honor Coffee Roasters is a good option for...

Pretty good plaza for shopping and there is a really nice coffee place there. Everyone here is so nice and warming. We came here for the Warby Parker since we both needed new glasses and it was a quick and painless process. Went to the coffee shop across the way and the latte was super tasty and creamy. It's near the beach and there is an ice cream shop if you want dessert or are on a date. We wanted to try the fish restaurant but it smelled like leftover fish or something so we opted for something else instead. Parking can be a hassle especially when the parking structure is full.
