I agree with other reviews that mention how the bar/food and some restroom lines obstruct the entrance - both inside and out. It is kind of ridiculous.
October 2023: Inside, saw Kesha. Enjoyed the concert! Thought the venue was fine. Standing only downstairs (and no standing upstairs? Just premium seating?). Seemed crowded. We stood in the back near the railing, above the main GA standing area. It wasn't too bad of a view for someone 5'4" and up, it's was just the back of the crowd lol. Pros and cons. Expensive drinks and had to put my water bottle in a locker that we rented? Also they take the water bottle caps when you buy them. Parked at a lot nearby, super easy, no hassle. We arrived a bit too early and waited in a super long line that wrapped around the parking garage hill.
August 2024: Outside, The Avett Brothers. Omg so overcrowded, SHEESH. Hope they never play here again. Ridiculous. We weren't interested in the opener and wanted to avoid the long lines, so we arrived around 8pm and there was no line, but still too early for the main act lol. I had added the tickets to my phone wallet, as AXS had email recommended earlier in the week, but at the ticket scan they said they needed the QR code - so no pass touch to swipe etc. Apparently there's no standing at the railing on the walkways - sorta - but I had no idea where to stand, it was so crowded. A family was rude to us about scouting their spot for hours (in GA). The family got security involved - only after the concert had started. Security was telling people to move off the railings, but again it was only after the main act started - why not tell us sooner? And security wasn't helpful at all about where else we could stand!? The far side from the entrance smelled like butt most of the time. $11 for two waters. Limited soda options (only non-alcoholic) Pepsi/Diet Pepsi, MTN Dew and they're not posted, just have to wait in line and ask. Constantly being redirected by security, but nowhere to go? Well, where that I could actually see lol I ended up not seeing most of the concert. But I got to hear it! And not be in trouble with staff 🫡 lol
I likely won't be returning. Definitely not to an...
Read moreI am a huge MMJ fan and traveled from East TN to see them at Megacorp pavilion.
I very much like the intimate layout of your venue and the staff, minus one, was great.
However I had the most awful experience at your venue purchasing drinks in the pit area on the left side of the stage.
I had ordered a water, two Red bulls, and a beer. I asked the bartender if it was okay if they did not open the Red bulls so I could put them in my pocket and be able to carry everything back to where I was watching the show. The bartender said okay and put them up on the counter. As soon as he did a man, who I can only assume was a manager, started yelling at him about every drink had to be opened. "You know better, I should pull you off of this bar right now!" He was screaming at this bartender over and over and berating him.
As someone who has worked as a bartender at a concert venue for nearly 10 years and I have been a bar manager at other bars, I understand that it is some venues policy to open the drink so they cannot be thrown at the artist. That would have been perfectly fine and I would have understood. But for the manager to scream at his employee for what must have been 3 minutes in front of customers is absolutely inexcusable. He could have calmly asked the bartender to step away for a moment, finished my transaction, and reprimanded him in private.
I would never ever talk to an employee or another person that way. I would never allow someone to talk to me that way. The whole thing was disgusting and really put a damper on my experience. I told the manager in all of my years of bartending, which is over 20, I have never seen something like that before and that he had no reason to speak to another person like that. Service industry folks are treated poorly by customers day in and day out but to have your own management/staff do it is...
Read moreI don't think I ever posted my review on this place, so it's a little late - but this is the WORST venue I have ever been to in my life, by far. Went for $B 2022 and waited in line to get near the front. Setup was nice. Only water the barricade venue staff is handing out is when someone yells for it in an 8oz cup from one orange gatorade cooler. They ran completely out (couldn't get more water?) about 2.5 hrs in with 2 hrs left to go. This isn't even my issue. Not all venues hand out water at all (though it's pretty common.) After the concert, I approached the bar and asked to buy a Dasani bottle - he handed me a plastic cup instead, pointed in a general direction, and said "water station is that way". Cool, whatever. I make my way in the direction he was pointing with a completely empty, clear plastic cup and before I know it a bouncer was PUTTING HIS HANDS ON ME, yanking my shirt telling me I'm not allowed to leave with the plastic cup. I tried to explain I needed help finding the water station and he just told me he didn't care and pointed at a trash can. It's unlike me to get a temper, but because he put his hands on me and I was dehydrated and irritated/he was yelling in my face, I started yelling back at the guy and threw the cup on the ground. Seriously not my proudest moment. I promise I will never give these people another dime without an apology. I won't go if it's a two dollar meet and greet from my favorite bands or they hand out 50 cent T-shirts. I will NEVER give them my money after this without an apology for that bouncer getting completely unnecessary, others standing around watching and...
