I'm sad to give this place less than 5 stars because I have heard a number of positive reviews but anyone with an iPhone probably shouldn't bring their phone here. First off, the customer service when you enter is really terrible, the man sitting at the front was quite rude and didn't listen to me when I explained my issues (I was back to the store approximately 5 times throughout the process and was greeted and dealt with by him each time). Second, it appears they are trying to cut corners by purchasing below industry standard aftermarket screens for iPhones and trying to get away with putting them on and charging the same price as industry standard. My experience: I brought my iPhone in to get a screen replacement a few weeks ago and the problems just got worse from there. Upon returning home to set up the phone - the Face ID and front facing camera didn't work properly and did not calibrate. I brought it back to the store, and they ran diagnostics and told me they couldn't fix it so to bring it to apple, so I did. Prior to leaving I asked if there would be any issue with my Apple Care or warranty, and they told me no. Apple opened the phone and told me that my warranty and Apple Care was now void because they had put on a poor quality aftermarket screen and it was not sealed to the phone properly. I then went back to UbreakIFix and explained the situation to them asking for compensation or for them to fix it. They claimed they couldn't do anything until I called the corporate office. After that, they then took the phone back and it began working... very curious after 2 weeks of going back and forth and having an Apple Care tech look at it as well. In the end, the manager Jordan did his best and did prove to be helpful and understanding as he replaced my screen with the proper quality screen and my face ID has been...
Read moreI have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and have had it for several years. I used to be the guy who changed phones every other new model, going all the way back to the first Galaxy phone. When I got the Note 20, that was it, loved the phone and still love it to this day. Last week, my screen goes blank and there's nothing I can do. I know the power is on because it vibrated for some things and I could still receive calls as long as I was in my vehicle and could answer through the Bluetooth system. I took it to ATT, knowing I had the insurance. They told me they would have to replace the phone. I know there are no more Note 20 Ultras out there, so I would be upgraded to a 23 or 24. I said no to that option because I really like my phone. I get on the phone with the insurance lady who said I might have the option of walking into a store to see if the screen could be replaced. I chose that option and here is where this long story gets summed up. I walk into ubreakifix on Biscayne Blvd in North Miami. I'm greeted by a young man behind the counter and we engage in some small talk. He says they'll take it apart, see what's going on and I should be done in a couple hours. I told him I'd wait outside and get some work done on my laptop. Before I knew it, he was bringing me the phone, completely repaired. The staff at this location were very polite, personal and professional. The gentleman also provided me with some very useful information regarding manufacturer's claims of how much water a phone can handle. You would be surprised. I would recommend this location to any and all who are seeking any sort of repair to their mobile phones or similar...
Read moreUnfortunatly, another business that I used to like for their professionalism and customer service is just a thing from the past. They were the best priced and customer friendly when they just opened and really impressed me. I went yesterday afternoon to get an estimate on a new screen, back cover and new battery for my phone. The price given to me was different from the one that I was given on the phone but, you know, "Corporate never get it right" It was not that bad so I agree and was told to come back the next day at 10 to get the repair done quickly. I took the morning off and I was greated by another person, Eric, who quoted me another price, much higher. While I was trying to work out a way to find how to get back to the price I was given the day before, another person came out to take over, named Eddie. The price not only went higher but I was told that after the repairs were done, they had to run a test to see if the camera was calibrated properly. If it was not, they could NOT release the phone back to me unless I agree to the repair. This kind of maneuver used to be called racketeering. You're going for a $400 repair and you end up in the $600 at least and the only choice you have is to submit or walk out the store. I decided on the latest. Maybe I would have left the phone but Eddie's attitude took away all the trust I had in that store. When I asked him how many times they find a phone who needs camera calibration, his answer was " Four out of ten". No way I will leave him my phone! What proof would I have that it was necessary? The camera works just fine but if they decide that it's not, I'll have to agree or...
