I heard that this place historically was one of the finest parks in the north shore. People here and there say otherwise these days. The nature is still there today along with the lake (supposedly that used to be the "sea water" of the former Glenview Naval Air base). Fishing and maybe even boating is still possible here I believe. I did not even run over the entire length of the hiking trails as the conditions are not that good. Here is what I actually mean by that: signs are often ruined or missing, several bridges and other wooden structures are weakened, and people (regardless of whether they are playing Pokemon Go or not) would do reckless things. We would get so stressed out and we stumbled upon this park and we just lay under the trees and just gaze on all the birds. This is definitely a place for bird watching and mainly relaxing. Also a great spot for picnics and shoulder and. Due to covid19, I have been hesitant because nobody is wearing a mask in the suburbs. I had said crack and go there. Other side beautiful Glen market with cute boutiques and resturants.Nice fitness center and park district big huge buildings.Glen view train station one side.Anything you can imagine is there.
