Tipsy Paint — Local services in Northfield Township

A friend and I went and painted 'Riverwalk'. Kate was our instructor. We had a great time! This is the first wine and canvas event I have been to. I reserved 2 spots the night before the class, and the online reservation process was very simple. There were about 15 people in my class. All art supplies (and wineglasses and smocks to protect clothing) were provided. We brought our own wine and some small snacks. The studio is pretty spacious and looks like it would be great for group events. As a note, the building is not super visible from the street, it is in a little complex of buildings. We passed it and had to come back.

Kate gave the group step-by-step instructions, provided an open, informal environment where it was easy to ask questions, and then came around a few times to give each artist individual help - she was great! She was cheerful and high energy and wonderful at giving suggestions on how to make our paintings better. The class was fast-paced without being stressful and was very positive and beginner-friendly. You could definitely walk in with no art experience and still have a good time.

I took a painting class here with my sister the Saturday before Halloween. Had such a blast! I was such a fun night! We did the "Colourful Night" with Jim and came home with two surprisingly great renditions of a night sky. Jim is a great teacher. His version was easy to follow and he gave great feedback throughout the class. He was not just a spectator but gave a critical eye to what was good and what could be improved in each individual's painting, suggesting colour combos and techniques. I also really enjoyed the vibe of this class. I think we all had fun. What surprised me was how relaxing it was to spend an evening painting. I will definitely come back. Just looking at their offerings, the paintings appear more sophisticated than some other "paint & wine" classes. Also, there is a huge variety in the classes. We hosted our daughter’s 4th birthday party here with her friends. It was amazing! The planning was so easy because Krystyna was great at communicating and such a pleasant host. There were 15 kids and 15 adults. I loved that we had a private studio setting and easy set-up for snacks and cupcakes. Krystyna was an excellent instructor to small kids (our painters were mainly 4-5 years old). She made the painting session so fun and enjoyable for everyone!
