Kapolei Escape Games — Attraction in Oʻahu

My review is based on our visit for the escape room on 10/7/25.

We made a reservation online for a 5:15 p.m. timeslot, as we had a prior commitment at 3:30 p.m. and was unsure if we would be able to make it in time for the 4 p.m. timeslot.

Our prior commitment ended up being canceled so we decided to try and see if we could possibly transfer our timeslot to the earlier one.

We headed over and was assisted by Rayne. He was so friendly and upon explaining our situation, he was VERY accommodating. He indicated that no one had booked the 4 p.m. timeslot, so he could easily take us in earlier. He asked that we just give him fifteen minutes or so to ensure the room was ready to go.

It wasn't until a few minutes later, that I realized they weren't even open yet! They open at 4 p.m. and we had been there by 3:30 p.m. I felt terrible and apologized, but he just smiled and assured us it was not a problem. Many businesses have employees who are downright rude if you "bother" them before they open. But not Rayne. He never once made us feel that we were an inconvenience or troublesome.

Once he was ready for us, he escorted us to the room and gave us the rundown. I thought it was great that they provide costumes if you choose to dress up!

The gameplay itself was definitely fun and challenging. I liked that there were so many puzzles to solve. Rayne was a great Gamemaster in helping us with clues when we needed them. We managed to escape with only 14 seconds left. Whew!

Our ohana has done many escape rooms and this one by far will be one of the most memorable primarily due to the above and beyond customer service we received from Rayne. He is definitely an asset to this business!

Had a girls day. Decided last second to do an escape room. This has got to be one of my favorite experiences because of how friendly and welcoming the staff are. Jason, our game master offered us a karaoke room for $10/hour because the soonest opening would have been 6:30. He found someone who never came in for their allotted time and we did karaoke for free for an hour until they got the rooms ready. We did the pirate experience, but got held up in the second room, & failed it (lol😂).

Regardless of failing, we still loved the experience. My girls & I all had fun & next month we’re coming again to do another room- just bringing more people hahaha.
