Historic hotel with a supposed sketchy history. The location is pretty ideal as it is a very short stroll to the Bricktown area of the city boasting numerous restaurants and bars. Parking came at a cost, but during my visit there were not very many utilizing the area so finding a spot was easy. The lobby has a lot of old school charm with period piece motif reminding you of something from the gilded age. The ceilings are adorned with paintings bringing a nice overall feel to the setting. Front desk staff was friendly and inviting. Immediately became frustrated with the lack of modern payment technologies available for securing your room. Contactless payments and processing for some reason are not well adopted in the US, and for myself, forces unimpeded limits on where I can stay and how much I can spend. There is a bank of lifts, all a bit dated, but functional are located just off the main lobby area. Found the room to be a bit of a mixed bag. While spacious, the fit and finish of a few things were subpar. Ended up with a room with two doubles, that I found to be quite firm and unforgiving with a multitude of unsupportive pillows. There were holes in the sheets, and various grey/black smudges periodically found on areas of the sheets, seemingly from the industrial dryer used. The bathroom was nice for the most part, but the dated tub and shower was a real let down. The vanity and mirror were large and brightly lit with power outlets available for the supplied hair dryer and whatever you may need to charge. The toiletries were from Crabtree & Evelyn. Decent enough. The bathtub was a huge disappointment. First, being the fixed shower head. Personally have never understood the purpose of an extremely limited fixture. Second, is the shallowness of the tub. If you are going to have a tub, at least have it be deep enough for someone to be able to actually take a bath if so desired. Back in the sleeping area there was a desk, to my surprise, two mini-fridges that were in need of an upgrade due to age and use, and a centrally mounted television. All the fixtures near the bed and on the clock all had USB-A ports to make charging some devices a bit easier, however since I only have USB-C devices now, it made no difference for my situation, but still, a nice added touch. If you proceed to the lower level, you will find the pool and fitness room nestled between the business center and several administrative offices for the hotel such as HR. The business center was very functional and had everything you would need for printing and internet access. The fitness center was pretty well equipped and had bottled water, towels, and headphones available for your workout. The pool, left a lot to be desired. It is incredibly small and unappealing in all terms. The area itself is small, poorly lit, and simply does not have an inviting or relaxing atmosphere. The hot tub/jacuzzi area was out of service and adorned with yellow caution tape, which didnât help with the aesthetic at all. The restaurant area was nice and spacious with a decent menu, albeit pricey. Found the food options to be lacking in variety and what was available, was merely edible, nothing to write home about. Overall, it was a bit of a mixed bag with this location. While I am a Hilton loyalist, I will probably opt for a different hotel the next time I am in the area as I found the offerings at this location for the price, to be lacking in every category other...
Read moreI've stayed at this hotel several times. I went w my BF and checked in online. I tried going to the front desk to get key cards for the room before I went upstairs. The front desk told me I had no reservation while my BF kept trying to check on under his name and generally being coercive and controlling. Insisting he put down his card information and that it was his room and if it wasn't under his card to change the reservation to it although I said I wasn't comfortable with that. The front desk woman threatened to call the police on ME even after I had attempted to show her my phone or offer I.D. stating id get in trouble and how I needed to leave bc anyone could put their card on a room and how I was out of line. She even said âno you don't NEED to show me your phone. You don't NEED to get in your bag for your I.D. or card on fileâ (to prove I had a reservation). All while my BF verbally abused and interrupted me every time I tried explaining or asking for key card copies to control a narrative. So HE was there, causing a scene and chaos, demanding to put his name and card on the reservation I booked. All in front of the front desk. And yet she threatened to call the police on me. I was concerned about my payment and wanted a refund for being kicked out of the hotel when I hadn't even been up to the room. I waited for her to call the police which she did not. The most I got after the entire interaction was a ânext time say youâre already checked in.â, made fun of for the discount I had on the room (basically that I wouldn't have lost much $ leaving) Additionally, later in the stay I had a headache and went to the Suite Shoppe to by some pain reliever, a poweraid, and some other small items. My BF walked past and falsely accused me of stealing things. I looked at him annoyed and again the front desk inserted themselves âwell ARE you?â and I said no. But I wasn't done choosing what I needed. My BF urged me to hurry up. The front desk said I couldn't just stand there holding things that I needed to pay for them. Other guests noticed and decided I was âstealingâ too. By simply shopping. I said something about how I was going to pay for them and assumed id just out it on the room. Both my BF and the woman said that I couldn't âJUST put it on the roomâ. And again talking about how his card was on the room. This again concerned me bc I had already specifically stated my card was on the room and I didn't want his card on there. This started a circular conversation once again. âWhy can't you just pay for itâ (If my card is on the room I'm paying for it.) Mind you, she has refused to see my card. Even I can see on the app that my card is on file on the reservation after thriller checking. I show her my phone even though she has stated she doesn't want to see my phone or apparently confirm any details before profiling and discriminating against guests. After âproving muselfâ again all I got was âwell if you knew your card was on file whats the issue?â LOL. This was a personal issue with my BF that turned into an unprofessional and provoking situation egged on by front desk. She decided to be live lies and bulky a guest while there was a man trying to gain control of a room he was asked to leave by the person with the reservation - even going as far to side with him w/o proof and threaten me...

Great historic spot. Awesome dining. Good views. But, a lot of cut corners and issues with staffing. Huge fan of OKC and anything unique to Oklahoma. We'd been looking forward to a Skirvin Staycation for a long time, and overall had a good time. Valet and dining staff were great. Location is awesome and the vibes of the first floor were wonderful. We had a few snags that I'm sure weren't typical, so wouldn't consider it representative of the whole experience. But it was the response to the snags that were unfortunate. Getting locked out of the room due to a malfunction with the lock? No big deal. Waiting a half an hour to get back in, much of that waiting for them to arrive in first place due to Guest Services line just ringing out / no one answering? Not fun. And then not getting updates on its completion. :-/ Luckily we were able to be let in eventually. Even longer was the requests for basic things signaled to already be in the room on our arrival but weren't, like robes, etc. We called. Messaged. Called again. Visited the front desk. We were received with a woman visibly upset at hearing about the issue, and letting us know housekeeping was having issues / communication with housekeeping was awry, etc. And even after that, nothing. No updates. We found other plans, so by the time we finally had a response (after prompting again) from Tony, it was too late. We grabbed some towels from elsewhere. I will say, Tony was awesome. He was the only one to check in on us / ask us how we were doing / followed up on the above issue, and seemed to really care about the visitors and guests. He was cordial and didn't scold us for asking a question (unlike others, who seemed upset with people who didn't immediately know the valet process). I feel like any time he was on shift, we never came into issues with the phone ringing perpetually, and never saw him treat guests or the staff in a way that was less than kind. The room seemed a bit older despite the renovations. As others noted, some areas that were dirty / moldy / stained. But nothing that impacted the overall hygiene I think, so not bad. Wasn't smelly. (The couple of smokers right in front of the lobby door, that did get a little smelly but they weren't there for too long). A lot of the Cleanstay features promoted by Hilton are non-existent, in-room and out of room. Dining was great. Lawanda? and the Park Grill crew were wonderful for breakfast and dinner. Might be a littttle overpriced, but definitely quality ingredients and food. Cocktails and jazz were awesome! Overall, good stay. Awesome if you're wanting to enjoy downtown OKC in an area outside of Bricktown that's grown so much, and are OK paying a bit more for some awesome food, cocktails, and ambience. Maybe a few room updates, and it'll be...
