Update! April 16, 2024 There is a 20oz late drink size not on the menu. And the cardamom Rose latte with the house made cashew mylk is a really beautiful, rich, fragrant drink and my new favorite!
Also uploaded new pictures of their vegan coconut milk soup with lotus root and other yummies. And their hikers cookie.
The soup is amazing.
Sept 1, 2023 Uploaded a picture of their chicken and Brie Sammie. With an add on side of herbed fries. Food tasted amazing! Chicken was juicy. The fries had a lot of flavor. I also got the spiced mocha with House made cashew milk. I like that it’s not too sweet.

I dropped in for the first time since Leland’s place closed. I was really happy to see it still has a great vibe. They improved the seating indoors and outdoors too.
The menu looks delicious too and if you crave Leland’s old Tofu Banh Mi, it’s still there.
I had the wild mushroom and cheese toast. Great ingredients btw. When it came out I took a few bites before realizing it was missing the spinach. So I mentioned it and handed over my sandwich.
I thought they would just put it on what I had left but they remade the whole order and placed it beside my old order.
How sweet and unexpected!
I want to come back and explore the thoughtful selections on the menu. I really appreciate the bountiful vegan options.
I am into energy and vibe so I think their water bottles are pretty fun too.
Come support these guys. They’re cool. My massage practice is close by and I can’t wait...
Read moreDelicious food and beverages with everything being vegan and gluten free possible. Really nice, helpful and thoughtful staff. Not sure I quite agree with "best fries in town" but are definitely very good with some really nice homemade sauces to go with
Update: been here again and still wonderful. Though I did want to call out that their banh mi is served in a hotdog/hoagie bun instead of the Vietnamese baguette it should be which is disappointing
Update since they moved: Soul Cafe has lost its soul. Not sure exactly what happened in the move, maybe a change in ownership or they just haven't found their footing in the new space. But all of the staff have been replaced, some of the menu items have changed or disappeared, some of the ingredients have been swapped out, all resulting in a diminished unsatisfactory experience.
Also the vibe has taken a substantial hit. Previously they put so much work into crafting a beautiful outdoor space. This new location has a beautiful view, but far too much of the windows are plastered with posters. The interior is a hodge podge of mismatched chairs, tables, wall art and...
Read moreThe sandwiches were decent but quite tiny and very expensive (like $17 with no sides just the small sandwich). I ordered herb fries for $3.50 and I received no more than 10 cold and chewy fries. It also took like 25 minutes for them to start trickling out sandwiches one at a time to our group. See edit
Edit: I’m not sure how to see replies or if its even there anymore but the manager replied to this review asking for feedback. I think that’s awesome! I want to elaborate briefly on my experience:
Soul cafe is a spacious cafe with cute decor and some really good food (I particularly enjoyed the Cubano sandwich). If I were to offer feedback it would be to either slightly increase the portions of meat and veggies in the sandwiches (I understand the food industry is becoming more expensive for all parties so a slight portion increase would be cool). And/or just a small handful of fries or chips included in the $15-20 sandwich price-tag would make it feel like a lot more value...
