I was looking forward to trying this place out the entire day. Great review and photos look great. Unfortunately my experience did not add up to what I thought it would. We got there an hour and 10 minutes before close for reference, these types of things can make your experience completely different. I've been a server for almost 13 years and I stand by giving my last guest the same welcoming experience as my first. We were very rushed into putting our food in even after being told what time the kitchen closes and ensuring our waitress we would be ready before then. Our waitress didn't give us any utensils or napkins even after the food was placed on the table I had to ask across the restaurant for chopsticks, she then brought kid chopsticks (I'm not entirely sure why) so then I said "no sorry adult chopsticks for me" and she returned with them and napkins like I'd asked She then 2 bites in began to mop directly next to us which just installed very unsanitary while eating. Although I do understand wanting to get out at a reasonable time, clean your area up until a table or so away from your active guests. No one would accidently want mop water to hit them, it makes any customers feel rushed, and causes a potential to slip and fall. We also had been moved to a new table in the very beginning because the floor had just recently been mopped at the original table and I slipped a little while setting my daughters car seat down And now where we had to walk was freshly wet again. The lady who sat us brought me boxes and our check, she was extremely nice. Once our check was set down I'd say MAYBE 30-45 seconds later our waitress came up and asked if we were ready to pay. I was in the middle of packaging up my food so I stopped and grabbed my card out of my purse after looking over the check for a split second, again feeling extremely rushed. The experience the waitress gave us made me very uncomfortable and feel as though we were just completely in the way since the moment we sat down. I also ordered soft boil eggs for my ramen and they were very very overcooked. We got our food order in 15 minutes before the kitchen stopped taking orders and left 20 minutes before the restaurant closed. While I do understand late comers aren't the most fun to deal with when you're ready to clock out in the next hour; please remember every customer is important and deserves a good experience just as if they were the first of the day to walk in. I will probably not eat here again but if you come at a more normal time you may have an...
Read moreTook a very long time get out drink order after being seated. Service staff in no hurry to wait on tables. Gyozas were basic no complaints. Build your own Poké bowls were delicious. I ordered a rainbow sushi roll. The worst rainbow roll I have ever had. Fish was dried out from sitting out. The avocado was brown. Not just on the outside but all the way through it. Service staff noticed and mentioned nothing still delivered to the table. Took a very long time again to receive the bill and the waitress stood just over my shoulder looking in my purse while I pulled out cash. Very unprofessional. Gave 3 stars for good Poké, everything else was not good. EDIT: management has attempted to respond by defending the new employee who has not had proper training to be on the floor. Drinks were not delivered at separate times and server did not "linger to expedite checkout" she literally stood behind me watching over my shoulder into my pocket book then walked away and did not return to make it quick. Shame on management, this is a very sad response and attempt to justify poor service and expired food. So your telling me the sushi chef who assembled the roll can also not tell when food has sat out to long. Take this response for what it is. If you're going to visit this restaurant observe managements quality control style. I am not at fault here. I'm just honest. When we have great service I frequently leave five star reviews. I originally only posted it as 3 star instead of 1 because I am fair. Also did not complain or make a scene in public at the restaurant to not disturb or sway other occupants. Best of luck to this business and hope things can improve hence the honest review. Also I paid full price, no complaints, not leaving a review to seek anything other than allowing others in the know to know exactly what they will be experiencing when...
Read moreWhat a neat atmosphere and vibe, and delicious food. I was surprised to see their menu was rather large wit lots of variety… they serve boba teas, poke bowls, sushi, ramen, udon noodles, fried rice, and an assortment of appetizers. The only downside to their many options on the menu is only two options for kids meals. Teiyaki chicken with rice or their deep fried chicken with fries. It would be nice if they had a kids ramen, kids fried rice, a sushi bento box, or more options for the kiddos.
On to the food, we ordered the crab rangoon and my husband really enjoyed them. We also ordered the husker roll to try and like it. The sushi was two bite pieces for me. I ordered the spicy chicken katsu ramen, and my husband ordered the Akarui ramen. My kiddo got the combo b which was karaage chicken, deep fried chicken nuggets and French fries. He really liked the fries but didn’t care for the chicken. I thought it was good, definitely different. Both of our ramen bowls were delicious, it’s a lot of food and more than an enough amount. I took half of mine and his to go home, but ramen really isn’t a to go food… the texture of the noodles doesn’t last and then it’s meh. We could share one bowl for both of us next time. It was great and we were both happy to have tried somewhere new, can’t wait to try a poke bowl & other things...
