I graduated last Monday from UCR and the behavior and treatment of the staff and security from this arena was BEYOND appalling. Everyone was unnecessarily rude, ignorant and unhelpful to a dangerous degree.

I graduated with two degrees and invited many family members, many as far from 400 miles away. The security did not allow any sort of posters, flowers, balloons, noise makers or decorations for absolutely no reason. We were sent a list of restricted items beforehand of which said absolutely nothing about restricting these things.

ALSO, turns out they were SELLING FLOWERS INSIDE. I cannot believe the greed that tried to pull at a COLLEGE GRADUATION. All the tuition that we paid and we can’t bring flowers bc you wanna sell them instead? Are you serious?

My family brought a 20”x30” poster with my name and face drawn on it, two bouquets and a singular balloon. When my family asked why they could not bring these things in the security was EXTREMELY rude. When my family said it was not on the restriction list the security laughed at them and said they’re not letting my family in with the decorations. When my family continued to ask for clarification they were ignored. The security guards laughed and rolled their eyes to each other when my family continued to ask for clarifications. Literally mocking my family not being allowed to come inside with non restricted items to celebrate a college graduation.

My grandma is a double leg amputee in a wheelchair. I emailed the arena 3 times with no response in regard to handicap seating that my gma NEEDS. There was an elevator to the third floor for handicapped seating but to get to the handicapped seating there were stairs. The staff directed my family to this elevator and seating. When my family came back to tell the staff that the area was wheelchair inaccessible the staff was completely unaware and then did nothing. When my family asked what to do the staff literally said, “idk” 🤷 . There were designated handicapped spaces on the second floor but there was only room for one handicapped person and one other person which would mean my gma would have to be nearly alone during my graduation.

My family happened to find some random spot by the stairs, not even seating. Just some random spot behind some rails. It was absolutely not designed handicapped seating nor was it safe. There were no chairs so my family asked staff if they could move chairs to sit w/ my gma. Staff said they would get them some chairs and never came back. My family had to stand to be with my gma.

Now to me, as the graduate. I put in a LOT of effort to find out where I was going to be seated so my family could be on the correct side. As we were lining up in the back I asked every person I could find. I kid you not, every single person had NO idea what was going on. A friend of mine happened to find a map by the grace of god and when I approached staff to help me decipher the map not a SINGLE person knew what was going on. Almost EVERYONE I showed the map to have never even seen it before!

After literally asking every single staff member I could find I was eventually told which line would be on which side; left or right. I figured out the map on my own and sent it to my family to be on the right side. Here we go down the idle to sit and they put me on the left side when I did ALL OF THAT to ENSURE that I would be on the RIGHT SIDE.

The speakers and sound quality were beyond horrible. The entire time there was a loud “BRR” over the speakers making it nearly impossible to hear at times. Randomly there would be a loud siren or a big boom from the speakers. This terrible audio quality happened throughout the entire graduation. Some poor graduates didn’t even get to have their name be heard bc of the random sirens and booms. You can BARELY hear my name being called in the recordings my family got but you can definitely hear the “BRRR”

The biggest day of my life will always have the stain of this arena due to the absolute unprofessionalism, incompetence, lack of preparation and ignorance...

Review is for Toyota Arena itself not the performance I seen there.

Me and a couple guests purchased handicap seating to attended the Cypress Hill and Berner concert this past sat. May 4th, the first problem we ran into literally was our seating. We purchased handicap seating as my guests are limited but when we walked to the section where our tickets were we were directed to move seats as there were not enough tickets bought in the section we chose for it to be open. The seats they moved us to were literally on the opposite side of the entire venue! My guests and I had to walk the entire way to our new seats! This was a really far walk especially for guests who are limited and to top it off there are no benches, chairs or rest stops for anyone to sit even before and during the show has started!

Once we finally got to our new seats, we asked an attendant where to sit and directed us to sit where we please as we are not in our original seating anyways. Shortly after another attendant kicks us out of those seats as another couple had the seat numbers we were in. The attendant was super rude and told us to physically get up and move to seats further down the row. There was literally two open seats right next to us. Those seats were not filled during this performance. Instead of being rude to us they could have just simply and politely asked us to move down instead of physically having to move once again after all of the trouble we already went through with the seats and having to walk far when we are already limited.

During the performance I got acquainted with the guest next to me. Turns out she and her guest had the same issue with the seating they bought and were also moved to that section and were forced to walk all the way around to the new seats. This poor lady had crutches. After learning that it was obvious that all the people in our section that had purchased handicap seating had been moved to sit in this one spot to avoid opening more sections in the arena.

Then after the show, was over the parking lot was completely closed off to go around so I could pick my guests up closer to where we were seated. There were no attendants close enough to ask directions or if there was any way for me to get to the other side of the venue. I got fed back out to the street and had to drive around the arena till I could find the Uber pickup and drop off! During this time, attendants were also telling my guests they had to leave and exit the arena and that waiting inside is not allowed. After some arguing they allowed my guests to wait while I got directions back into the parking lot.

Overall terrible experience at the Toyota arena. Completely fed up with the treatment of myself and guests and even acquainted guests here from this arena. If you are handicapped or limited in any way and plan on visiting be prepared for a lot of walking.

And to the arena, Fold out chairs are a good thing. You have plenty of them. They can be set up before and during a show and removed after to avoid lagging.

Not all handicaps require people to be in a...

Worst security experience ever. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the security team @ the MORRISEY concert on 10-18-2025. We were having an enjoyable experience. Our first time at the TOYOTA ARENA. Until our interaction with security which was handled extremely poorly and left my wife feeling assaulted and unsafe. During the event 2 women worked their way to 1 seat next to my wife. This was towards the second half of the concert. My wife asked them to move as there was only 1 seat availabl. they decided to stand in front of her as they kept stepping on her. They got upset and started arguing with my wife. My wife approached security at this point. as we could the women were heavily intoxicated and did not care to move. Mind you security was only a few steps away from the isle we were in. We tried getting the securitys attention A SECOND TIME to let them know these women did not belong here but security seemed confused and with no clue on what to do. The women got more upset that my wife told security so they decided to approach my wife as she is till trying to let security know the women are being a problem.at this point the younger girl decided to swing at my wife in front of security my wife reaction in shock was to block herself from the punches thats when security steps in and they start escorting us out using excessive force on my wife to the point leaving bruises on her arm. As we are walming out not RESISTING trying to talk to them respectfully that we were not the problem at the same time people in the back and front row of us were trying to i form security the problem were the women but security did not care to hear us or explain to us why we were being kicked out and treated like criminals when we were simply trying to get the securitys attention on the matter. IF THEY WOULD HAVE NOT IGNORED US FROM THE BEGINNING ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. I really hope the CEO michaels krouse looks into this and makes it right. I tried surprising my wife with these floor seats which were not cheap and for my wife to be treated this way. Never again will we put one foot in This arena as this venue failed in its most basic duty to potrect its patrons. I do want to thank the security manager who showed us he cared but could only do so much we really appreciate you. . . BE AWARE OF THIS SECURITY IF YOU GO TO THE...
