Visited Niagara Falls Ontario Staples today, Sunday for lamination. Asian young man wonderful. He helped previously. On arrival there were 3 different clients in the same large station. I explained what was needed. He said 10 min. Not a problem. More people came for service. Lady also working in the same area. it looked manageable. At some point she left to go to cash. People were complaining. I was patient. The young man had to go between clients. The lady had not returned from cash although there were no clients for a brief time and lineup was discussing that. I wondered where the other staff were. Staff must have been on break. People were frustrated waiting. My fellow was serving other people too. I was not overly bothered until lamination arrived. One was not as expected. It was not the young mans fault. He was doing too many things. Through all this he was calm and helpful. Problem he did not remember me saying 'this page had to be centered.' Serving others at the same time he did not have the time to follow up with me. The question is where was Team Staples. Staff do step up to the plate when asked. They I understand they are a Team. I assume Staples and its Upper Management prioritize the client who walks in the door. The repeat client. Staples was short one person. I'm sure one staff would have filled in for Team Staples. OR does the management tie the hands of on site Managers OR does Staples not put real importance on the their clients. Is it okay for them to wait for a long time while there are staff in the building not serving? If you expect little from staff they will give what you expect. When you ask them to step up to the plate for a co worker or for the company they will mostly do it. People are awesome they want to help. How can you think a line up is acceptable when there are staff in the building not serving. The lady Manager was very nice today but her thinking is much different than mine. 15 min of help from a staff today would have made such a difference to Staples image and the happiness of the clients. You have a great staff. Help them be the best they can be. Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am VERY THANKFUL to Andrea for helping me with my purchase. I had been to the Office Depot on Day Creek and Foothill in Rancho Cucamonga to EXCHANGE an HP ink cartridge that we had purchased along with a HP printer and All- in-one Desktop computer purchased from that location. The sales tech assisted us with the purchase and suggested we get the extra ink cartridge. Granted this purchase was over a year ago, but we have been LOYAL customers for MANY, MANY YEARS!!! The ink cartridge we purchased with the computer was put in the desk drawer until it was needed. My husband FINALLY needed to use the cartridge and it was not compatible. We tried to return it to Office Depot today. NO way! I couldn't find the receipt, and they couldn't track the purchase through their Rewards Program. Plus, the package had been opened and it was past their 14 day return policy. We have spent THOUSANDS of $$$$ at Office Depot, but NO MORE!!!!! Staples was very nice on the phone and they were easy to work with. Their customer service was EXCELLENT! The manager, Joe, at Office Depot suggested that I might have purchased the ink cartridge somewhere else like maybe Costco. NOT the best way to keep customers or get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a Staples customer for many years and have enjoyed the benefits of their efficient services, especially self service.
Today, I attempted to use the Ontario storeās self-service copy machine. Full disclosure: I was in a hurry, as I was on my lunch break. Turns out, there were 2 available copiers. However, 1 was being used and the other was not functional. When I advised the copy representative, she rebooted the non-functional one, saying it was really ok.
After 15 minutes, it finally rebooted but was still showing an error message. As I attempted to get the same representativeās attention, she appeared to get busy helping someone else. Understandable. After finishing with two other customers, I again attempted to get her attention and even made eye contact with her. However, she got busy with something else this time.
It would have been nice to at least have gotten acknowledged. Maybe itās just that the representatives from other stores tend to go above and beyond. Or maybe Iām just a customer thatās hard to please. Either way, I wonāt be back to the...
