To say this place is dangerous is an understatement.. I have attached photos..Let me start off by saying I was severely cut with a sharp edge on one of their beds..The only reason as to why we decided to stay at this hotel was their pet policy, however little did I know there would be a $150 fee for the pet..Also my pet is a cat and I was told they normally don’t accept cats but would do an exception for mine, nowhere on their website does it say only dogs..On our first day there we left to see family members thus the reason we came to California, when coming in to check on the cat we noticed a strong smell, upon going to the bathroom I noticed the toilet was clogged..When we left the toilet was not clogged so someone else’s waste somehow ended in our bathroom..When I called front desk they sent a maintenance man who took almost an hour to solve this issue!! An hour of my time wasted while he was in the bathroom taking it all apart inside the shower!! He literally took apart the toilet in the shower, how unsanitary is that..I finally told him I had to leave and left him in the room..The following day when getting ready for bed I was about to charge my phone and walked around the bed..While walking around the bed I suddenly felt pain and heat in my right toe and immediately saw large amounts of blood dripping to the point it made a huge blood puddle.. I was terrified and asked my daughters to go get help, they went downstairs to the front desk and no one was there, not the front desk girl or the security..I had my daughters call to see if anyone would answer and after about 5 tries they finally answered..My daughters told them we needed help, that I was bleeding in large amounts, they replied by saying they could not come inside the room to help and that we needed to call 911..All this time my mom was helping me to try and stop the blood by putting a towel in the cut area.. At this point my mom became very upset and decided to call font desk herself only to be told once again that they could not help us.. By that time I told my daughter to call 911.. When on the phone with 911 they went over ways to try and stop the blood and at this point the front desk lady and the security came inside the room, later I found out they called their manager who told them yes it was ok to go in the room..The security guard helped me hold my towel and a minute later the paramedics arrived.. The paramedics took care of the cut and wiped down all the blood..The front desk lady did an incident report and her and the security left the room.. The paramedics offered to take me to the emergency room however I did not want to leave since the blood was under control and I would end up leaving my daughters, however I was in excruciating pain.. The paramedics proceeded by telling me to get a TB shot and get the wound taken care of as soon as I could.. The following morning a very sweet lady I think her name is Jacki I’m not sure if she’s an assistant manager came to the room I showed her where it happened, she apologized and moved us to a different room.. This incident happened the next day of our stay which mean my vacation was ruined, our plans to go to the beach did not happen.. I have a hard time walking and when I do I’m in pain.. I write this only because after talking to the sweet lady I never received a call from the GM to apologize or to offer any type of help..Their lack of empathy toward me was unbelievable.. I will finish off by saying housekeeping not once cleaned our room, they have signs outside stating that if anything happens to your car or belongings inside they are not responsible and the hotel itself does not look like a hotel it looks more like a hospital as my daughter stated..They are overpriced and understaffed.. On two occasions I saw the maintenance man helping with check ins.. Also this same man was there when I went to ask for extra towels, his response was well let me go see if...
Read moreThe hotel is newish and modern, but beware it's one of those hotels that has cut back on cleaning services to cut costs. My room was to be cleaned after the 2nd night (3rd day). I had my do not disturb sign on while my toddler napped until 11:30am. I called the front desk to confirm that my room would be cleaned (it was starting to smell of trash, wet towels, diapers, etc.). The front desk agent confirmed I was on the schedule. I left for the day and came back to my room not cleaned and was at the front desk at midnight asking for trash bags and towels. The next morning at check out the clerk asked how much stay was and I shared my experience. Apparently the Manager eavesdrops on these conversations and called the front desk, interrupting my conversation with the employee to tell him that I had my do not disturb sign up at 11am and it was documented and that's why they didn't clean. My fault, not theirs. I guess they didn't check the call logs to verify I called down at 11:30am to ask about it. I wasn't looking for compensation, points, or anything - i was just sharing my experience. But this interaction made me angry. Instead of owning the mistake, this eavesdropping manager called down and blamed me. The cut off times for room clean up are not published anywhere, I called when my toddler woke up from my nap at a reasonable time for housekeeping. I paid for 3 nights at a hotel and did not have a single visit for housekeeping. The room got gross, smelly, drying with wet towels, just a disgusting experience. I didn't book an AirBNB, but a full service hotel - but once you check in you are on your own... and forget about management owning up to it with a simple apology. Also when I checked in late in the evening around 11pm, there were no baggage carts. The front desk told me I could go search for them on each floor. How welcoming. This hotel has potential, but the manager clearly has no clue what customer service is and how to take accountability for their mistakes. The nightly rate was not inexpensive and I should have received a way better experience. Shame on this property as it is an embarrassment to the...
Read moreMy updated stay, and still currently at the property. Ok, so first, my name is Josh Hagin and currently staying at this hotel. This is under my wife's account, that is why its under her name. I have been coming here a lot because usually the service and hotel has been good. I am in the process of staying here 28 days and need to tell you about my experience so far. First, when I arrived, the first room they put me in smelled like paint. The fumes were so bad, I could hardly even enter. I went back to the desk and let them know. The second room I was put in, was dirty. There were bugs on the counter and near the toaster. The bathroom light fixture in the shower, was completely exposed, and had wires hanging. I could of electrocuted myself. I went down to let them know. The front desk at the time was very helpful and put me up in the third room. That same week I found out that they charged my card $5000 dollars and charged my work as well. After three days and showing proof. I did get a refund. The next couple of days the elevators broke, and had to walk down and up the four flights of stares for two days. No apology no anything. Next, the third time I asked to clean my room, the maids took my soap and sponge. How was I supposed to wash my dishes in the sink without it. i went down to the front desk, to let them know, they gave me dish soap but did not have a normal sponge, so they gave me a Mr. clean sponge. Every time I asked to clean my room, I would let the front desk know the day of. It was not until the third time, did they let me know, usually its better to ask for the next day so it gets done for sure. So, on Friday I asked for my room to be cleaned today, (Saturday) because it was dirty, and to fill the body wash in the shower. So, after a long day out and about I came back to a dirty room again. And no body wash. Finally, to make matters worse today I found a bunch of ants in the bathroom. I have reached my limit, I am going to speak to someone now, and Want someone from your...
