WORST CUSTOMER Service I have ever gotten.I went in on 08-08--15 to have some copies made which would have taken maybe 5 minutes and was told I would have to wait until Weds. of the next week before it could be done. WHAT? I was in shock, I could not believe they did not have enough staff to do 5 min for a few copies to be printed. I asked if his printers the customers use were available and he said they don't take flash drive. He said maybe you can go across town and get Office Max to do it. So I asked for the manager, I think her name was Kay, she said we are having the free tax weekend and have too many orders to do yours. How awful to tell a customer that line. I said well I will be here after tax free weekend (not now). What was she doing so important, that she could not have been a team member and helped out her staff and made the copies. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL of her! Really she needs to take a year long course in correct customer service, and how to be a team player. She should be fired. I told her I had just bought a computer from there this week, but I would not be returning to the store, ever. DON"T GO THERE unless you call a week ahead to get on the list to get copies done that take less than 5 minutes. I found a place closer to my house that will be doing all my printing...
Read moreOver the past 10 years, I have used 4 different office depot locations and their print services. This one is by far the worst. I can honestly say I loved the products, customer service, and efficiency at each before. I am sad that I am now stuck with this location and having to look into alternate companies for my printing needs. Twice now I have been disappointed with 1)ability and products available to complete order (standard nothing special) and 2) Time required to print takes longer 3) fair customer service. 4) Over-priced. They will take every minute of a 24, more likely 48 hr window (I have always had it back the same business day, orders are automatically left for the next day). As for customer service, I waited in line to pick-up my non existent order (as online conformation said it would be ready, to have girl open another person's order and be like oh well I just wanted to see what that was, but no we dont have it ready.... Oh no, we wouldn't even start that till tomorrow if you placed today???? They had to substitute product to lesser quality item, yet still charged full price. Will not use again and do...
Read moreI travel all over the place, and I have done so for decades. I dealt with Kinko's and local copy shops when they were the only places available to get last-minute flyers for suddenly changed venues (for punk and thrash shows in the 1980s and '90s) and they were often closed early (mom-and-pop shops) or staffed with idiots (Kinko's, duh).
These days, remain on the road. Most of the chain stores (Staples, etc.) that forced Kinko's and those mom-and-pop copy shops are poorly staffed with people who neither know nor care.
There are outliers, however, staffed with competent, caring staff. The Office Depot store in Opelika, AL is one such store. I am grateful to Kai and Aurora for helping to get a reprint of a book I needed that day to drop off that day before I continued on to the next state. They knew their shit, they understood the problems with the Office Depot website (hey, corporate: FIX IT!), and they got the six proof copies ready for pickup by the time I had finished my meal.
Office Depot would do well to listen to these...
