OK, buckle up, this is going to be a long review!!
When I first saw that the Escape Game had a perfect 5.0 rating on over 4.3k reviews, I was very skeptical about the authenticity of the rating. I told my sister that there was definitely some kind of incentive or discount that you'd get for leaving a 5-star review, since that was the only explanation in my mind for how the scores could be that high. However, after playing the games and visiting the venue, I can confirm that the rating is 100% genuine.
For some context, we are pretty serious about escape rooming as a group. I'd estimate that we've done over 60 rooms in different cities across North America, Europe, and Asia. This place had some of the best, if not THE BEST, rooms that we've ever played. Within the span of 36 hours, our group played five out of the six available rooms. My room rankings for the facility: (Rugrats, Special Ops, the Depths, Prison Break, the Heist; we didn't play Gold Rush). We originally were going to play some different venues while in Vegas, but we just loved these rooms so much that it kept us coming back.
All of Rugrats, Special Ops, and the Depths had things that we have mechanisms or features that we've never seen in an escape room before. Rugrats, in particular, was extremely innovative and very enjoyable for people who grew up with the show in their lives. The quality of the rooms is extraordinary. The puzzles are tough, but there was never a point where they felt "cheap" or unfair to solve. We were able to solve all five rooms with minimal hints and about 10-15 minutes left per room.
All of the room hosts were good, but our group wanted to give a special shout out to Sarah, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and really enhanced our enjoyment and experience. We could tell that she was really enthusiastic and that she herself was a big escape room fan, which is exactly the kind of person you want to have hosting your experience!
All in all, this place absolutely earned their five stars, and I would give six...
Read moreWe did every escape room they had! That's how good they were. We're going to list the rooms and what we thought individually! The staff is absolutely amazing. Truly the best we have EVER had the pleasure of being our game master. We don't remember everyones name unfortunately but Dani, Sara and JD and everyone there were so awesome and accommodating for my wife and I :) the staff gets 20/10 all day, every day, 8 days a week.
Rugrats: SO MUCH FUN! Definitely great for kids and beginner escapers. Each puzzle was just the right amount of complicated. Some confusion with a few instructions but it didn't hinder the game at all. Definitely 10/10
Gold Rush: WOW! Your in a cabin, youre in the woods, you're in a underground mine shaft behind a fireplace! Wow! Again such an amazing room. Great puzzles and VERY CLEVER solutions. The puzzles definitely got a bit more complex as we progrssed through it but every second was just as fun as the one before it. 10/10
Heist: definitely the most difficult of the four rooms. Having something for notes for one of the puzzles would have helped ALOT but alas I had to use my memory so we lost some time there lol. The flow of this room is more on the non linear side. Instead of solving a puzzle to open a lock you have to solve a number of puzzles that could open one of several possible locks and compartments. Gonna give this room a 9/10 only because some of the compartments or triggers that happened were so sublte we didn't know what we triggered and had we not gotten a clue we would have never known. If you have more brain power than your average person, this room is great for you.
Jailbreak: this one is officially in our top favorite escape rooms we've ever done. Communication is key because you start off separated. Super clever hiding spots for keys, codes etc and the puzzles kept us thinking all the way through. You have quite a few clues to carry with you into the following rooms so make sure you keep them all on hand. Easily Rating this...
Read moreMy husband and I have done over 65 escape rooms together across many cities and countries and we always try to find the best places for them, so it’s safe to say our expectations tend to be fairly high. The Escape Game in Las Vegas exceeded those expectations in every way. We’d been there once before a couple years back and did four rooms which we loved. This time when we visited the newly reopened location at the Forum Shoppes at Caesar’s, we were excited to see there were new rooms and wanted to try one (and ended up doing two: Timeliner and The Ruins: both incredible). To begin with, all rooms at the Escape Game are just fantastic. Their design and aesthetic is varied, opulent, detailed, and beautifully immersive. Truly some of the best out there. On top of that, the puzzles are top tier. We’re almost puzzle snobs at this point but are never disappointed with how clever and varied they are here. They go from straightforward to challenging and are never frustrating. We always leave wanting more and have THE best time. While all that should be enough to make it one of the best escape places in the city, it’s the people who work there who really take it to another level. Not enough praise can be given to the staff here. From the incredible JD, who went far above and beyond with us (including a little showcase of The Great Big Game Show which is a BLAST and needs to be visited by anyone coming to Vegas), to Makayla who was so generous and proficient, to our amazing game masters Kiara and Roman, every single person we interacted with went the extra mile to make this a place we DEFINITELY will be coming back to again. If you’re new to escape rooms or a seasoned pro, this is THE place to come to if you’re visiting Las Vegas. We could not...
