Herman Story Wines — Attraction in Paso Robles

We love this winery, we have been coming here for many years, three friends of our group are members of this place because all their wines are delicious. and something that characterizes them is that they are very friendly, but today we returned back to this place with the same expectations as always, but this time we were greatly disappointed with the attention we received. After leaving the place, I wanted to make sure that it wasn't just me who got that impression, so I asked my friends what they thought of the attention and we all agreed that this time we felt very disappointed. Sorry HANNA but your attitude made us feel very uncomfortable and I think it will affect the opinion that the clients of this wonderful place have. Or maybe it was just a bad day for you. Really, really fabulous little tasting room in the heart of downtown Paso. We came here by recommendation from Kevin M., and boy was he spot on!

The tasting room is just a small bar with no seating. My girlfriend and I stopped at Vivant Cheses (highly recommend) before coming here and set up our little spread of cheese and salami to the amusement of the pourers.

Our pourers, Chris and Gary, were amazing, incredibly cool guys. This is a casual no-bullshit place with a quirky sense of humor and amazing wines. My favorite was the "One Hit Wonder," a lovely deep red blend that, unfortunately, is sold out. However, we managed to fanagle a bottle from them. Thank you!

We do love there wines enough to travel hundreds of miles after confirming their hours and that they'd be open today...

At noon, as we walked up to our anticipated tasting and plan to purchase bottles as new years gifts for ourselves and friends, a dude was tossing up a gone fishing sign saying they're suddenly closed today and his response was a big Meh...

Needless to say, we were looking forward to their bold wines but won't be driving back up here or buying from them again any time soon and next time we're in Paso I doubt I'll be stoked to recommend others to visit and spend anything here... Very...
