Serial Wines — Attraction in Paso Robles

There's a luxury to late Sunday mornings. Ambling along the sidewalk of downtown Paso, the storefronts were quiet and tranquil. We were drawn to the Serial Wines tasting room by way of the 1920's decor of the adjacent ballroom. The calm tranquility and cool metallics within Serial whispered of escapes and dreams. We leaned. We looked. We couldn't resist. The only other soul in the room was our hostess with the mostest, Jenny. She happily and affably helped us settle into our surroundings. We quickly feel under her spell as she explained that the gold filigree behind our chairs was an outsized mimic of moth wings; that the artwork on each bottle of serial red blend was selected to ensure that all twelve bottles in a case would be unique; and that the series of wines on each tasting flight would carry us, serially, through the AVAs of Paso Robles. We decided to divide and conquer by ordering one of each of the flights available. From start to finish, the offerings in both options kept us hypnotized. The rose was peachy and vibrant; the tempranillo was full and savory; and the cab was rich with a lingering impression. Jenny carried us through the entire lineup with aplomb. What a wonderful day. I took my dad in to Serial to taste for Father's Day and was absolutely blown away by the five star service that we received. It was our first time in. Just waking by, the doors were open and it had a great vibe... The art, visible from the street and we could hear music when we walked by. It was perfect level to enjoy but not too loud that it interrupted our conversation. We walked in and there was tall types of seating for whatever mood you were in... High top tables, partitioned banquet seating for large parties, open upholstered booths, couches for lounging and really neat art. The staff was great. Sam was our host and she was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable and such a warm, inviting personality. My dad and I felt right at home talking with her, like family. She was engaging and attentive without being overbearing or pushy and we didn't feel rushed. We chose a tasting and her additional wine suggestions were right up our alley. We had such a great time and she was like the icing on the cake. Made me want to work there with her because you could tell that she really enjoyed her job. They had amazing wines and we enjoyed it so much that we left with 8 bottles lol. I'm definitely planning on returning with my girlfriends and may have to join the wine club. My wife and I along with our Frenchie Ruby stopped in here last week while staying in Paso for a few nights. And I will say we are definitely glad we did, had an awesome experience. The tasting room has such a cool vibe, very roomy with lots of seating options, yet very cozy and tastefully decorated.

We had the pleasure of having Jennie host us, and can't say enough about her attention to customer service, she is awesome! Very knowledgeable, helpful and a great ambassador for Serial Wines. She asked us about our preferences and other details regarding our tasting experience expectations and proceeded to hit it out of the park. We loved visiting with her and enjoyed everyone of the wines she poured. They were all so delicious, great bouquet and finish on each of them.
