I've been hanging around this park forever and let me tell you.... they have everything. Let's start with the humble farmer's market that truly shines during spring on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Coming closer to summer you can explore thousands of wines on a Saturday afternoon. Or any afternoon at local businesses. If you feel the moment you can jump over to the paso robles inn, have some delicious food, and dance to some honky tonk music. If you'd like to sing some honky tonk karaoke, don't miss the Pine Street Saloon. Some say it's haunted! In fall we enjoy the very notable Pioneer Day Parade around this park, the largest antique wagon and tractor show in the western USA. Bring a pot if you'd like to have a picnic because they make a huge vat of beans for everyone in town. If you don't want to picnic, neighboring businesses are open to serve you tasty fare. In winter, we look forward to the most beautiful downtown lights that any city park has ever adorned. Try not to miss the Vine Street Christmas lights either, just a hop, skip and jump west of the best city park in town. Don't get me started on the park cinemas or the public library which are both adjacent to the park and such wonderful experiences...
Read moreA nice little park in the middle of a little cute downtown city center. We stopped for a nice little picnic, driving back from San Francisco to LA. It's a quaint little town. The park itself was clean. We even got to use the restroom and it wasn't that bad. It was actually pretty clean apart from the smell. I mean, what do you expect, it's a public restroom in a park, and restrooms in general have some smells. But this restroom was far from the worst and I've seen worst. However, there were a couple of homeless hanging out by the restroom area. One attempted to approach me but I walked so very quickly. I knew he probably didn't mean any harm and might just ask for some money. But I was with my little daughter and she got scared so my instinct was to just hold my daughter's hand, told her nothing to worry about (and that I would protect us and probably could take him down lols. That's how I calm her down btw, I make jokes while covering my worries and staying on guard and be more alert of my surroundings), and walked away as fast as we could. The best part of this park that I found a yummy little cookie shop, Brown Butter Cookies. That...

The landscaping is always beautifully maintained, with lush grass and colorful flower beds that make the whole park feel vibrant and inviting. The large, mature trees provide plenty of shade—perfect for relaxing on a warm day or enjoying a picnic with family and friends.
There are several well-kept picnic areas throughout the park, and the charming gazebo adds a touch of classic small-town charm. It’s a favorite spot for photos or just to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The playground is clean, safe, and a big hit with kids of all ages.
Another standout feature is the park's public restrooms—they’re impressively clean and well-stocked, which is a rare and much-appreciated detail.
