LA Fitness — Attraction in Pembroke Pines

Today the pool was closed to be cleaned that is understandable. Recently the Hot tub has been descusting!last week a man was in the pool with his young daughter,I heard and saw him tell her put her chewed up gum on the side of the pool with his,when they got out of the pool their was two large chewed up pieces of gum waiting for someone to step on , shortly after as I was relaxing in the pool a very dirty elderly man strolled past me carying a dirty tourn backpack He was filthy with matted hair and smelt very bad he also looked to be drunk he was wearing a long white T shirt, shorts that were falling off of him they were stained with old brown and yellow Urine from the back of shirt from the shoulders down he got into the hot tub with everything on I thought he was going to fall in.I had enough and left. While I was leaving I stopped at the desk and explained what I saw and I was concerned that the old man would drown he was the only one in the pool area and alone. A week befor this A man with long dread locks was puting his head under water Rubbing his head I waited for him to leave befor I got in the hot tub , when I stepped in the hot tub hair weave was floating all in the water was.I Again told the front desk assistant she was very nice and explained that it would be cleaned in the morning.Today I got in the hottub and sat down my shoulders under water,I began to relax ,there was two couples in the hot tub when I got in ,they started laughing and hurring out of the hot tub they told me their was shit in the pool I quickly got out behind them but behold a few floating logs of human SHIT,floated by me befor I could even get out. I was litterly throwing up as I went and got the front desk asoiate to show her, she was upset as well apologized to me and told me she would tell her manager and make sure the hot tub was closed drained and cleaned .I went back the next day and saw the hot tub was opened and ready for use.After speaking with a few different associates who had been working all day none were aware of Hot tub being cleaned,I spoke to the Manager who was there all day as well She told me that the poop in the hot tub was last month and she took care of it,as I argued that it was yesterday and there was other hazeris complaints made she called the store associate that was working yesterday,and then was informed that it was in fact yesterday. This lead me to believe that the Hot tub was never cleaned.More needs to be done We the public trust that LA Fitness has pride,respect and cares for their members for what is to be a Gym to get healthy and stay healthy, not one to get sick It is a public place I don't understand why a camra or a large mirror can not be installed at least the guest will know they are there and maybe will be a little more...

The place is always clean, they have a lot more stuff than other LA Fitness I've visited before, I started with a free pass to see what the atmosphere was like, I wasn't sure about staying at the beginning since I had bad experiences at another place several years ago with the staff, but I decided to stay and I love it, Giovanni is definitely the best employee at this place, always very kind, respectful, charismatic, he asks how your day was and always with a good vibe of energy, the spinning trainer is super cool I don't remember his name but it's the best Spinning class I've been to, the cleaning staff does their job very well and also very respectful and kind, I see that they constantly clean the floor to prevent sweat from causing slipping accidents and they keep the bathrooms and saunas clean, there is always paper towels and soap as it should be. Everything seems great to me regarding the equipment, the only thing I would like to make a recommendation is that I think it should be like this in every gym or locker room or public bathroom that one goes to and that is that I see that there are many girls taking videos, making video calls and taking photos in the locker rooms and bathrooms, I know that this is not the place's fault since each member should respect these areas but the other day a girl was leaving the shower while another person was on a video call and even once I was changing my shirt and something similar happened, the point is that at least there should be a sign within the bathroom rules that says that this is not allowed because when the girl argued this the other person got upset and insulted her like she can do whatever she wants. But I think that everyone should respect the bodies of others and no one would like to appear in photos or videos of people that we don't even know and who haven't asked for...

Good gym overall!! Can use some cleaning tho.

Wow. I’m Completely shocked over how unprofessional and rude the assistant manager is. He told me his name is Alex.

I just moved from Los Angeles to Miami. I did a 3 day trial and was looking to cancel the trial to keep my membership at the other gym I go to for half the price. I told him that I was instructed by Marissa to call before 9pm on Monday to cancel because I signed a contract that would put me into a payment plan that I had selected. They had authorization to put the payment through with my card information. On the phone Alex said they don't do "contracts" but "agreements" and he said he didn't know what I was talking about and he was getting very frustrated with my inquiry. "I'm the assistant manager and I have never heard of that better.” I told him I was being told two different things from their employees. I very much signed a contract or "Agreement" (as he insisted), SAME THING in legal terms.

I was thinking either someone had bad information or someone was trying to manipulate me for a sale. It was so weird. He then randommly asked me to give them a review which I thought was completed rude to ask of because my issue was still unresolved. It was like he was changing the subject.

You should always be treating people with respect even if you aren't the right person to speak with regarding the issue at hand. If he was my employee, I would have him in management training. 

Such a weird phone call and it left a horrible taste in my mouth.
