Spent two nights in this hotel with friends. Just got home. This is certainly not a Hilton. And not even “by Hilton”. Starting from the moment of check-in. We asked for two rooms next to each other. Unfortunately, the light in my room did not work. At the reception they told me that I needed to insert the room card into the slot, but it did not help at all, I had to call a hotel employee who rummaged around in the electrical panel, and the light worked, but he said that the card is generally useless for this (apparently the reception does not know about this(!)). We were very tired, and I immediately went to bed, very surprised that there was no sheet-duvet cover in the fasting (!) but just a blanket. I could not believe that this was possible, I even thought that Hilton has disposable blankets:)) but in the morning I found out that my friends had a sheet, they just forgot to make it for me (!). The most interesting thing was further. In the morning it also turned out that the toilet did not work, the flush just did not work at all (!). We didn't know about it, of course, and first we used the toilet. It filled to the brim with water and it just stood there.. We informed the reception that we would be gone all day, and it would be great if someone would come and fix the toilet. We were promised that. Imagine my surprise when, late in the evening, returning to the room, we realized that no one had come all day (!), there was already a smell coming from the toilet.. The most interesting thing is that the cleaning staff came, took the trash from the bucket, but there were no sheets added, and they apparently decided that the guests did not need the toilet at all.. it was still dirty and out of order.. I went to the reception and asked why no one had come to fix the situation, there was already another girl who said that she was not in the know at all and had no idea who was working in the morning, when I said that I would complain.. I was told that I had a choice, to move to another room, but two floors higher, since there was no room near my friends, or to call a repairman who would try to fix the toilet.. with all my things after a whole day of excursions, I did not want to move far, move all the things, and we called a repairman who came, and after an hour of work still could not fix the toilet. I was already very angry, and he himself brought me the key to another room, next to my friends, but better and bigger (!), that is, there was a room, but they just didn’t want to provide something better, despite all these problems (!) The pool in the hotel is not vacuumed at the bottom and in the corners, none of us even wanted to take a dip. There is a lady working at breakfast who, when I politely asked on the first morning: “Excuse me, where can I find milk?” She said to me very rudely: "Good morning!", showing me by this that first I should definitely greet her, she decided, apparently, to educate me.. (!) And when I asked where I could find cutlery, she turned me around by the shoulders (!) in the direction of the cutlery and pointed with the gaze in the direction.. She started clearing away breakfast before the allotted time, and was also unhappy that the guests still took something from the table.. When checking out, no one apologized, did not say a word for all the inconvenience caused.. It feels like the staff here at every level is not instructed what their responsibilities are and how they should act.. As if they just took all these people off the street.. I travel a lot, and have seen many different hotels, but I have never seen anything like this.. I don’t know if the manager of this hotel is aware of how bad things are here. This is simply a disgrace for a brand...
Read moreChecked in after 9 pm tired tried sleeping in bed and smelled coffee. Threw those pillows on the couch and upon flipping them saw stains all over and what appeared to be blood when we pulled the sheets all the way back. Called down to desk at around 10:30 no one answered. Fed up we pulled the sheets from the closet and used those. Come morning while we were packing our things I dropped an ear ring and bend over to pick it up and notice a fully blown up pink ballon under the sitting chair. after the sheet incident over night and the balloon I more closely examined the room to find I sticky looking clear residue on the lamp table by the chair and long dark straight hairs on the original bed sheets that we threw aside and on the middle table. (I have kinky hair and it is braided) moving along I go to the bath room and so shocked by all the things I’m seeing I look up to find a third wash rag draped over the shower door in the far corner. There were two folded wash rags and three towels upon our arrival; all of which used at the sink The shower area was never touch not even to open or close the door) This prompted me to check the shower, and what do Find... a little white/pink confetti that says “it’s a girl” Now from my detective work I can say there was at least one pregnant person in the room who was do to have a girl and for the stain that looked like blood I don’t know if she gave birth in there or what, but overall the room definitely was not cleaned before we arrived there were no special arrangements for us to have this room it was automated by the system. on top of an evening arrival there was no excuse for this. After find all this, I called the front desk in a panic they answered and I told her everything. She was silent then said “ are you checking out. I have a long line here so we’ll Handel it when you check out” and that was it no customer service what so ever. I packed up my things to go to the front desk, explained to the young lady that o just called and she says ok and walked for the supervisor of house keeping. When she finally arrived I told her the whole thing and showed her the pictures and she as well was didn’t say anything but mhm scribbled gibberish on her clip bored( I watched) then said “ are you expecting a discount or how would you like us to Handel this” Of course I said yes I was beyond freaked out that I just stayed in a house of horrors then played who done it in the morning. Ther super of house keeping said “ok I’ll talk to her( the young lady at the desk) and get that taken care of then I checked out and left. This was a stay from hell and with all this covid-19 going on I would think they’d ramp up cleaning not fall off. I’ve never experienced anything like this not even at a holiday inn. I know now that I’ll have to flip the room over and bring my own pillow cases and sheets any time I stay with Hilton. Hope you guys draw a good room......
Read moreWe were very disappointed.. This hotel was recommended to my husband and I while visiting the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, we were told by the coordinator that recommended it that we would get a CHOP discount.. thats why we came here. Our visit was at the very beginning of April. When my husband called to make the reservation and asked about the discount it was blown off and they made the reservation without it. He called again the next day and asked about it again with our current reservation and was told it would be handled when we check in. Upon check in he was told the discount was supposed to be set up while originally making the reservation… he told the receptionist what he was told over the phone and she gave him her card and told him to call her next time.. she told him that they do honor the CHOP discount but continued to check us in without the discount.. after checking out we checked the receipt and saw nothing about the discount. We were not visiting Philadelphia for fun but because we had to so that was irritating. This made our already stressful situation more stressful. Trying to get to our room took longer than expected because nobody bothered explaining to us that you had to use your room key to get the elevator to go past the lobby floor. We were going up and down for a while before somebody else came into the elevator and used their room key.. The room we got had its own living room and kitchenette which we enjoyed but once we started looking closer at everything we started finding all sorts of damages and some dirty spots, it made the whole place feel very unsanitary. It also smelled like whoever was in there previously was smoking in the room. The chairs had marks on them as if they had been used to open beer bottles, the speaker on the big fire alarm in the bedroom was damaged, whoever previously cleaned the room missed whatever had splattered on one of the light shades staining it and on the wall behind it. There was missed trash on the floor in the bathroom… seeing smoke trash being missed makes you wonder what kind of fine details had been missed… we also thought the kitchenette was missing dishes until checking the dishwasher. They were clean but I have never been to a hotel where they don’t put away the dishes. The valet was kind of non optional as finding somewhere to park in the area was ridiculous but I feel the pricing was reasonable. The guys who were the valets were very polite but one of them must have accidentally broke a piece off of one of the brand new accessories in our car, there’s a picture of the damaged accessory and a picture of the one that is damaged. Not a huge deal but when their liability policy states they’re not responsible for any damages even though our vehicle is under their care I was expecting possible damages to be from the car being broken into not from the...
