I dropped off two totes for my daughter, and a tote and infant walker of mine. The associate who helped me with the selling process was very nice. I was told it would take a week or more to get a offer. Not a problem. I gave her my number to text when ready. I was very surprised to get a text a day and a half later. When I dropped the items off, I made it very clear my daughter and I were selling or things together and we wanted the offer at the same time. I was not told you only had 48 hours to respond and get yoir items. When I arrived I was treated rudely by a associate. It's funny I should have been happy they rushed my baby clothing and infant walker, per the associate. My daughter's items were not done. It's also funny that as I looked around the store, the associate approached me saying she would do my daughter's items while I waited. The associate wanted my infant walker, rushing my items was for that reason only. She only did my daughter's items because most were brand new with tags. I also noticed once I got home, that more then two outfits were taken out of my tote of infant girl clothes. I think my daughters offer was ok. I was lied to and mis lead. I have shopped at KGR for over 20 years!! I may shop there again, but I will not sell items ever again!! I would much rather donate to a charity. My daughter feels that charity is a good option. She wishes she would have donated her preemie clothes to a hospital after this unpleasant confusing process and experience. I am a mothe of four and now a grandmother, I will be sharing our experience with others for sure. Word of mouth is a great marketing tool. I'm disappointed in KGR and won't be encouraging friends and family to support this small business. I just shopped with a family member from COLORADO last month, I won't be making it a point to shop this business again with out of state friends and family. I'm saddened by this experience. I really enjoy shopping resale. I hop this review helps other shoppers make a more informed decision to shop...
Read moreThis is a very nice second hand kids store. You can find really nice name brand clothes and items at a fraction of the cost. They also have boutique items that are super cute. The store is very trendy and set up neat and nicely. I really do like shopping here. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that if you have rambunctious children like I do, coming here can be a bit of a headache. I prefer to go without my kids with me because even though they have a play house for kids, they watch your kids like a hawk, and when you have 4 little kids, it's hard to constantly keep tabs on them at all times. Because of this, you may get caught off guard by the owner or staff member yelling at your child, which no parent likes to hear. You'll probably also see dozens of warning signs throughout the store, which I totally understand they don't want to lose profit and have to constantly straighten up messes, but these types of things make it seem a bit uninviting (and somewhat neurotic). However, sometimes the staff seems a little unfriendly, most times they are eager to help and will welcome you...
Read moreThis is a great place to buy clothes, especially for growing kiddos. My kids grow so fast so I never want to pay a bunch of money for clothes. Every time I go here I find items super cheap and in great condition, always walking out happy and feeling like I got a lot for my money. When it comes to bringing clothes here and exchanging them for in store credit it’s only okay. That’s why I subtracted 2 stars. I feel like some of the prices are fair, but I hate how you’re not sure what they’re paying you for each item. I wish they had a sheet or went over it with me… Before I accept the offer.
One example is I brought new crocs here and they only gave me $8 for them… I had to ask though because I felt like $40 for in store credit for 2 baskets of clothes and new shoes wasn’t a lot.. The crocs were brand new and still in the bag. So I asked before accepting the credit. The lady then told me $8. I just feel like I shouldn’t have to ask, it would be nice to know. The crazy thing is they turned around and sold them for $20 something. So I just feel like it’s good to shop here, not necessarily...
