Our family had the best time here! The online reservation system was a bit clunky and wouldn't let us reserve 3 races for 10 people but when we came in, the reception desk helped get us all sorted out. The prep for races is straightforward. They give you a headsock, a helmet and a quick safety briefing. Then they assign you a car and get you out on the track. A couple of issues here though. At the end of the night, a few in our group were surprised to hear that you could adjust the seats while others were surprised they didn't know. It seems like the information on car setup didn't get passed down very well. Also, there is a "boost" button on the steering wheel that helps you go a bit faster for a few seconds each lap. Several of the cars were literally missing this button because it had been broken out. The cars were great and fast although after doing three laps in different cars, some of them obviously run better than others. This is to be expected for anything mechanical. Good luck in getting a good car. The difference isn't too much though. The races themselves are spectacular. The track is amazing and fun. Plenty of tight corners both ways, long straightaways and really interesting ups and downs. It's a fun challenge. Because of that challenge, I really recommend doing more than 1 race. You'll get about 10 laps per race but you really learn the track during that first race. Get a second or even a third race if you want to improve your times and skills. Definitely worth it. Damon, Jordan and Derrick really made sure everything out on the track flowed smoothly and efficiently. They also offered tips and encouragement through tough sections. They really helped us have a great time. We will be...
Read moreWe LOVE The Grid! Since arriving in Utah we’ve gone to The Grid at least once a month. We’ve gone in large groups of up to 13 people and we’ve been just for a good date night.
The staff are awesome and do a great job ensuring everyone knows the rules and stays safe. These are fast karts, not your typical go kart track, so safety is a legitimate concern. They make sure everyone on the track is safe and has a great time and we really appreciate that.
The track itself is fantastic! It’s one of the longest indoor tracks in the country and they layout is super fun. Great straightaways and awesome corners and banked turns to really feel the racing.
We love that they space you out as you get on the track so there’s less chance of getting bunched up or stuck behind slower karts.
This is not a go kart track where you should be bumping other karts and spinning people out, it’s not that kind of track because these are real fast karts.
The karts are also really great and well maintained. They have safety bumpers all around just in case you do come in contact with another kart or the track wall. Karts do have a boost button to help accelerate the karts out of slower corners.
Overall we really enjoy the go kart racing experience at The Grid, but that’s not all they have! The lounge provides a cool hang out atmosphere and they arcade area is really nice. The arcade is a ton of fun and they have food and merch available.
If you’re looking for an epic date night or group outing this is the spot!

Read more7 of my friends and I came to the grid to celebrate a birthday. For several of us it was our first time ever. At the beginning of our first race there was a crash that made the employees slow down our go karts. That’s completely understandable but after that all but 1 of us were never able to get back up to full speed. I personally ended with my fastest race time being 1:20, with my pedal to the metal the entire time. For reference, my car worked properly the second race and my fastest lap time was 1:03. However one of my friends was still slowed down and repeatedly got hit by someone from a different group throughout the race to the point of breaking her nails and her bracelet flying off of her. The player that hit her was never slowed down or removed from the race. One member of our group went to discuss the matter to see if we could get a refund or another race because the first one was so bad. After 30 minutes of arguing they finally agreed to give us a free race next time, but many of us live several hours away and may never come again. I finally decided to just email the grid about all the issues we experienced and I received an explanation of what they think happened but they simply didn’t seem to understand my frustration. Since my race was just slow and not cut short, all I received was another free race. For some reason they seem to think I have any desire to come back, but I don’t. ALL I WANT IS A REFUND!!! AND MY FRIENDS DESERVE...
