I probably won’t be back. The pizza was actually pretty good but the price, location and service were sub par. First, when ordering I was told it would be 25-35 minute wait. No problem. The problem was when I got a text that my pizza was ready 10 minutes later and I was still at my house, 15 minutes away. Meaning my pizza would be sitting in the heating rack for extra time while I drove over because the projection was wrong. When I arrived I used the app to notify them of my arrival at the curbside parking spot. I saw plenty of employees inside standing around and after 5 minutes or so of waiting I decided to go in and ask for my pizza. When I walked in I wasn’t greeted and a young man just came up and looked at me. I told him my name and he went to get the pizza and then handed it to me and looked at me again and didn’t say anything. I didn’t know if there was something he still needed from me so I asked and it wasn’t until then that I knew I was all squared up and ready to go. No greeting, no have a nice day, no apology for having to get out of my car. Not a big deal, just wasn’t very clear. Last thing is once I got near the store the road got very confusing. There is a tall median in the road and “no u-turn” signs all over. It’s a bit confusing getting in and out of the parking lot. Not necessarily the business’ fault, but I do think it’s something they should look into talking to the city about fixing.
(Edit: Response to Owner) The pizza was a bit over cooked and dry from sitting on the heat rack but otherwise good. I could tell the ingredients were...
Read moreNestled on a bustling corner, this pizza shop offers a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for a casual bite. Upon ordering ahead, I was pleasantly surprised to find the indoor seating area open and impeccably clean, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience.
Now, let's dive into the food. The dinner doodles were a delightful surprise—moist, flavorful, and the perfect start to the meal. However, the margherita pizza fell a bit flat. While it looked appealing with its vibrant basil and fresh mozzarella, it lacked that punch of flavor that makes a margherita truly exceptional. I was left longing for more zest.
On a brighter note, the barbecue chicken pizza was a standout! It was a symphony of smoky, tangy flavors that danced on my palate, making it a dish I'd gladly return for. Each bite was a celebration of taste that overshadowed the previous disappointment.
As for the meat lovers pizza, it certainly delivered on the promise of hearty toppings, but it didn’t quite rise to the occasion. While it was satisfying, it didn’t leave a lasting impression worthy of a pizza aficionado's praise.
In summary, this pizza shop has its hits and misses. With fantastic dinner doodles and a barbecue chicken pizza that’s worth a repeat visit, it’s a place I’d recommend for a casual meal. Just perhaps skip the margherita if you’re on the hunt for something more...
Read moreSatisfactory grab-and-go Pizza joint with a unique cinnamon bun offering. The overall quality and flavor of the pizza was good, though the crust shape and texture reminded me more of a prefabricated or frozen crust than one made in person (I admit I didn’t watch the process and don’t recall if it was hand made). The distinguishing factor for Summit Pizza are their doodle sides ( a.k.a. sweet buns or cinnamon rolls) which came in a number of flavors options. We enjoyed the doodles for being a unique side, though I wouldn’t make the trip just for them. Some things to know before visiting are as follows: 1. There is limited outdoor seating, and no indoor seating. I would consider this a grab-and-go restaurant. 2. There is no soda fountain, and therefore no complimentary water. 3. If eating outside, remember to let the cashier know that you would like to have your food brought out rather than having someone wait inside. In conclusion, we liked our experience but didn’t encounter anything that would indicate the best in the business (for pizza restaurants) and merit a five star rating. Certainly, you should give it a try, but I don't know that I would call this a date night...
