Tossd Salads & Bowls (Pleasant Grove) — Restaurant in Pleasant Grove

I have been to Tossd many times and have loved it every time…until today. I’ve raved about it to so many people and finally took my parents tonight only to have to over explain that that’s not normally how it is. There were only two other people in the dining area when we got there but no workers to be found. I hate that you have to order on a tablet. I would rather wait a little longer for my food and have my order taken by a friendly human employee than wonder if I’m in a ghost town paying for food that may or may not come out. It took well over 15 minutes to make our three bowls and they weren’t super warm when we got them. We ordered them to go but they didn’t have lids and were just wrapped loosely in plastic wrap. There were no napkins or utensils in the bag. Then when we got home and pulled out our food, two of the bowls were significantly smaller portions than normal. Rice is such a cheap ingredient and there was less than a 1/4 of rice in two of them. The girl who brought our food out was not very friendly and seemed very confused about what she was doing. Another guy had got there at the same time as us and had ordered on the app. Our food came out first and he was visibly frustrated. She then immediately brought his out before we even left. So how long was his food sitting back there and they just didn’t bring it out? I don’t know. Usually I don’t have a problem paying $14 for these bowls but I was severely disappointed in what I received tonight. Download the app for a free meal must have been an April fools joke. Downloaded the app, input an order for lunch, applied the promo of free entree, got to checkout only to have a window pop up saying that the promo had already been used…. How is that possible since I had just downloaded the app and this was my first order? I put the order through anyways since I was heading to eat here with 4 coworkers. After eating my meal I figured I may as well ask to see if the app deal has known issues. The girl I asked brought over who I assume is the manager. They had no idea how to find my order in the system. Couldn’t search my name, even though it was on the receipt along with my meal. Who I assume is the manager didn’t really seem to care much, or have any desire to remedy the situation by offering a future free meal since this download app situation didn’t work out as they had intended.

Tossd is hands-down one of my favorite places to grab a fresh, satisfying meal. As a big salad lover, I’m often disappointed by wilted lettuce or meals that leave me hungry—but not here. Every single time I’ve visited (whether through the drive-thru or dining in), the food has been fresh, flavorful, and filling.

On my first visit, Sophie gave me incredible service—helping me choose the perfect salad (the protein bowl, which I now crave regularly!) and recommending the protein chocolate chip cookie. That cookie is now one of my all-time favorites—soft, chocolatey, and no weird protein aftertaste at all.

What stood out to me was how attentive Sophie was the entire time. She wasn’t just taking orders—she was wiping tables, grabbing utensils for guests, and making sure everyone was taken care of. That level of service makes a difference.
