Unfortunately, professionalism, integrity and quality are lacking by the owners/operators of this establishment. Initial interaction seemed acceptable to say the most. Short version: I brought an issue with purchased merchandise to the owners attention. I was blamed and belittled instead of respected and offered options that promote loyalty and future patronage. I suggest the owners seek customer service/ satisfaction and problem solving skills or training. Iād encourage future patrons to be careful in inspecting merchandise with more than a quick glance before leaving the store. Itās helium, temperature matters and how you transport the balloons matter (this was NOT my issue) the actual merchandise was defective.
Big issue: Being the sole party supply (party focused) store within 15 miles gives this store an advantage it does not deserve. Outside of asking if the establishment offered a military discount -(they do not, totally acceptable though)- I paid for my order without hesitation and even added new items following my initial checkout. All in all they did not have exactly what I wanted but I was unwilling to travel to Savannah to a major chain (I definitely should have) and made do with the merchandise the store offered. I contacted the store to seek remedy after 1 out of the 16 balloons purchased (the most expensive balloon) completely deflated. I accept responsibility that I did not turn around immediately after hearing a hissing sound before exiting the parking lot. Quite frankly I had day of rush in full effect. Nevertheless, the owners handling of my issue was belittling, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. The owner specifically stated, āYouāre a one time customer and I do not care. Do not come back if you donāt like my answerā. Never was a solution offered even after my prompting the owner to meet me in the middle. It is important to note purchasing helium balloons is not a novelty to me as the owner ascribed I did not take care of the balloons and was this was āa first for meā (I am still trying to figure out how he arrived at this conclusion). It was to my benefit to care for the balloons and I am willing to own my shortcomings. Longer story shortened, do not expect courtesy (even when you offer to help shoulder the burden). Do not expect great quality. What would have made it better: ā Maāam I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and where we are unable to decipher if your actions or the actions of our personnel were to blame we appreciate your business and would like to offer you a) a replacement ballon on us, b) a replacement balloon at a fraction of the original cost, c) a future credit with us (5-10%).ā People want to feel like people especially when the spend their money and want to support āthe little guysā. Upon arriving at the store at 3pm on the day of the party the balloons were not ready and I had to wait for the balloons to be ready. The balloons started deflating at around 7pm the balloons fell to the ground with no air. I called and explained everything to the store manager/owner and did not ask for a full refund but a partial as I paid $60 for the balloons that I ordered. The manager spoke over me and informed me that latex balloons are only good for 5-6 hours and that he has blown plenty of balloons up and that he was not going to give me anything. The manager even said to research latex balloons and how long Helium lasted in them. When googled online the Balloons should have been good for 12hrs. I explained that they were not even good for three hours and he refused to give me a partial refund. I would advise you to go to party city or the Dollar tree before getting any balloons from this store.
