I wish I can give this place a glowing review. I really wish I can. But a recent experience I had here was...Less than pleasant to say the least...Let me preface by saying that the pizza is great and the servers/front clerks are always pleasant. I feel so bad for them on weekend nights because they're usually swamped and have to deal with the impatient and rude UberEats drivers in the small front space. Going back to the issue with my last visit, I was physically pushed by a said UberEats/Doordash/what have you driver because, I was in his, "personal space". I was trying to get out of the way for a party that was picking up their pizzas. There were dogs, ubereats drivers, moms, dads; it was chaos. I'm a big guy and the the front space is tiny. I'm sorry that I had to get a little close to you for a few seconds, Mr. drama queen....Either way, after I glared at him for a few seconds, I went back to waiting for my order that ended up 30 mins late...It was a Friday night so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but come on. An hour for one 12" pizza? I was a pick-up order as well...That's a little much...However, the ladies working the front are always courteous and gave me a Blue Dart on the house. Like I said, the service is impeccable. Just do something about overcrowding in the front waiting space please...I would recommend calling beforehand to make sure your order is ready before going. But please be nice to the staff...They're so sweet and seem overworked. Other than that one gripe, keep up...

Being from Chicago we were surprised by Pizza Kat in Portland. It is a true gem for pizza lovers! Located at 2174 West Burnside Street, this eatery offers a delightful experience with its mouth-watering pizzas and welcoming atmosphere.

The Pizzas: The variety of toppings and crust options at Pizza Kat is impressive. Whether you’re a fan of classic Margherita, pepperoni, or more adventurous combinations, there’s something for everyone. The thin crust is perfectly crispy, and they even offer gluten-free options. Plus, they serve pizza by the slice for lunch, making it a convenient and delicious option for a quick meal.

The Service: The staff at Pizza Kat are known for their friendly and attentive service. Whether you’re dining in or picking up an order, you’ll always be greeted with a smile. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a casual meal with family or friends.

The Extras: Don’t miss out on their Dark Moon Cookie, a double dark chocolate delight made with local spelt flour and dusted with Jacobsen Sea Salt. It’s the perfect sweet treat to end your meal.

Meeting the Owner: One of the highlights of visiting Pizza Kat is the chance to meet the co-owner, Emily Ketterman. Her passion for pizza and dedication to the community shine through in every aspect of the restaurant.

Overall, Pizza Kat is a must-visit spot in Portland for anyone craving high-quality, delicious pizza. The combination of great food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment makes it a top choice for pizza...

Disappointment in life is inevitable and even a highly touted Pizza Parlor such as Pizza Kit can succumb to selling below par product. The picture's of what we received should speak for themselves. But if they do not please allow me to reiterate: we were beyond unimpressed with our pizza purchases.

The crust was bent and too large to fit into the box, on the cheese pizza one of the slices looked thrown in like a Chuck E Cheese style leftover re-creation. On the Fan Pie, the pepperoni, jalapenos and pineapple were not evenly distributed and overall lacking in terms of quantity. Additionally with every first bite of any slice the entirety of the cheese would fall off and come undone leaving the rest of slice bare. Bare like my appetite will be towards any future Pizza Kat purchases.

With a great word of mouth reputation, solid reviews, and a $35 price tag (not accounting for tip and delivery fee's) for these 2 pies we sure as heck were expecting more than this hastily thrown together slop.

All in all the pizza was sad, which in turn made me sad and furthermore gave us the impression at least in this singular instance that Pizza Kat is nothing...

I've lived in the NW neighborhood for years, and everytime I would take the 15 bus, it would pass right by PIZZA KAT and I'd go "Man, I really need to go try that place." On a beautiful day, I finally committed to making the walk over to PIZZA KAT to try a staple pizza joint of the city. From the outside, I never could've guessed it would be so cozy and beautiful on the inside. I really loved the decor and look of the restaurant, it was very casual and relaxed with lots of seating options. The pictures they have on display are 🤌. But, most importantly their pizza was absolutely delicious. We tried the margherita and mushroom slices and they were absolutely fantastic. PIZZA KAT instantly became a pizza place I was dying to get a full pie from. The sauce was fantastic, the cheese was beautiful mixed and the ingredients were yummy. Their pizza dough is one of the favorites I've had, perfectly cooked and tasteful. After one visit, PIZZA KAT became one of my favorite pizza places in Portland, and that is saying a lot with how many great options we have. I undoubtedly think this place is worth multiple visits, and I highly recommend!
