This lounge is a bit disappointing. I've been twice and prefer other lounges by far.
Some things to consider before you go: Their beer selection is horrible: boutique beers you've never heard of, a complete gamble. The one I tried was extremely sweet and syrupy as if it has sugar in it. There's no way to get a Guinness here. If you're going to offer local breweries on tap, then at least choose the good ones. (No-Li, for instance, is local and actually good) Air filtration leaves much to be desired: at 70% capacity, this lounge was unbelievably smoky, making my nose burn and proving difficult to enjoy my cigar. By far the worst of any lounge I've been to. I believe they are simply using a residential HVAC exhaust vent as their "air filtration system". The cutting fee: there is a $10 cutting fee per cigar that is smoked here. One fee is waved per cigar purchase. I think this is 100% fair in the instance people come in and don't order anything, however if you're buying drinks this should absolutely be waived. I've never been to a lounge that insists on a cutting fee with the purchase of drinks. It's very small: both times I've been here I've had to stand and smoke waiting for seats to become available. When you do eventually get to sit down, you're on top of others at neighboring tables.
Notice that none of these concerns exist at Legends of Fire in the Northern Quest casino. Their lounge is bigger, filtration and drinks better, and there is absolutely no cutting fee. The staff is also far more knowledgeable, personable, and polite than at the racketeer. It's a shame there are so many drawbacks to supporting a local lounge, otherwise I would go to the racketeer every time...
Read moreSimply put, this is home. I am not one to five 5-star reviews, it is not in my nature, but this place is the exception. Join any conversation, share a drink, or a smoke with perfect strangers turned friends. I save 5-stars for superlative locations. There is always room for improvement, right? Well, the Racketeer is special. The cigars are well curated and not the stuff you find at a service station humidor.
The drinks are wonderful. Noah and the crew he trained know their stuff. I never knew why anyone would like Irish coffee, it is just coffee with whiskey, right? Wrong. I was blind to the truth of the wonderful drink. I have since sampled their entire menu and not once was I...
Read moreI found this little gem by way of recommendation from Ethan at Tobacco World in the flour mill in downtown Spokane. The ambiance is on point with dark woods, comfortable leather seats, and a slightly old time feel. The staff is on point and attentive. Conor was welcoming and attentive and really made the already relaxing experience all the better. My only detractor was the music but you don't go to a place called the Racketeer and not expect music from the roaring 20s, that's the 1920s. Overall a great place with a vibe that is just what I was looking for to enjoy a pairing of great whiskey and...
