Absolutely wonderful! Saw Esteban with his band. Wonderful Mother's Day gift. The theater did seem a little stuffy "warmish" as the concert went on. In my opinion not awful but some folks were uncomfortable. Lots of humans sharing space, perhaps having the A/C on low say 68-70 just to circulate the air. Again just my opinion. I definitely enjoyed not being TO COLD like many theaters or restaurants seem to be. One ladies restroom was not great. The line was to the to the front door UGH. Don't even know how many stalls were in the bathroom. I didn't get in during the 20 min. Intermission. Seemed quite troublesome for some of the ladies. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and they all seemed joyful to be there. Concession prices were okay, I would have preferred having my hard seltzer in a cup with ice I felt silly drinking out of the can (I'm sure I could have asked for one. We have been to concerts in the Crystal ballroom and the Main hall both are lovely and have great sounds. We live downtown so we walk to all of the events. Our evening at the Elks theater was super fabulous. Looking forward to...
Read moreNice theater, but there were a few things about the experience that need to be changed. We waited in line for a bit over an hour to get our seat assignments. Over an hour wait to get through a 20' long line seemed extreme. There was one ticket seller, and she had to navigate through several screens to print our tickets. At intermission, we wanted a bottle of water from the concession stand. One bartender working who was mixing custom drinks while us "water drinkers" stood in a crowd of about 30 people and waited. There was room behind the bar for another person to sell water, but nobody stepped up. During the beginning of the presentations (that started late), a team of people had to be called to the stage to move the piano that was blocking the screen. Why was that not cleared before the presentation? Acoustics were good, people were friendly, and thankfully it was a nice night to be standing on the sidewalk, but there is room for...
Read moreI will never attend another event at this theater! The lady they had in charge of the art craft event was so rude to Dan today and he's about the best dude in town. I had to stop and tell the owners of the event that Suzie is so out of line I will never attend another event of yours! The fact they allow her to disrespect people like a public Karen begs for some public outrage! Never again will we one of the events at the elks theater. The fact that nobody stopped her until Dan stepped in and politely tried to settle incident shows that the elks club has zero care for how people are treated. Of all people she got in the face of the guy that that hired us to film the vendors wares for our advertisements All we will be writing about is how foul a situation this was. This is why people don't spend money on your...
